Omg - first time here. I had the salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries and hubby had steak frites - all excellent! I had an espresso martini (fabulous) and hubby had gin and tonic which he said was excellent. I appreciate that this restaurant has lots of gluten free selections as my granddaughter has celiac disease. Our server Lucas was attentive but not intrusive.

The new spring menu has some great additions. The pork belly with kimchi slaw was amazing and the Branzino was perfect.Dietary restrictions: They always make sure I can get gluten-free. They subbed out the cous cous with lemon asparagus and the asparagus was as big around as my thumb. So good

Absolutely a surprise and awesome experience. Will be back. Sat at the bar, the sommelier Bruce brought us and taught us so much!! Very knowledgeable and entertaining. The food was fantastic, too. We had: Crab Cakes, Short Ribs, Burger…all so great!!

Enjoyed a lunch meeting there. The food was good, the noise level facilitated a successful meeting, service was great, and patient. Booths were comfortable and the parking was good also. The staff was friendly and professional. What more could you need?

So very disappointed. My husband made reservations 2weeks in advance for Valentine's Day. When we arrived we were seated at a high top in the bar. We voiced our displeasure when we were seated and the hostess said this is reserved seating tonight. This is not what we were expecting. My feet do not reach the foot rest on a bar top chair and I would have been uncomfortable sitting there for what we thought would be a very nice dinner. We didn't know it was the manager that came to our table to light a candle or we would have asked to be moved. We discussed whether we wanted to spend 200 plus for a meal seated at a high top and decided to leave. My husband asked for the manager and discovered it was the same person who was at our table when we were discussing whether to leave or stay. She didn't say a word to us or ask if we wanted to move to the dining room. J Wilson's has been one of favorite places for many years but we will not be returning due to the poor customer service we received. All we received was a sorry from the hostess as we were leaving. Again, the manager standing right by the hostess and didn't say a word. We left with as much grace as we possible and felt very disappointed at the lack of concern shown by the manager and staff.
Tables are tight and only designed for very skinny people!!! Service was mediocre waiter only refilled my tea once. The portion of food based on the price is very.... rip-off... food was good just not worth the cost to eat there! Small portions.

The service was great. Our server was very attentive. The food was flavorful. It was kind of quiet when we first got there but then it started to get busy. They didn’t rush us out. We met the owner who was very nice.

Was seated by hostess at 4:30pm. Sat there looking over menu for 15 minutes, but no server ever showed up to get drink order or to even check on our table. Would not recommend.

We stopped for a quick lunch while in Lawrence and everything was good. The service was good. It's a nice sit down restaurant and would be super cute for a date night.
