Every time we came down to Lawrence, I said every time, we have to stop by red pepper and get some spicy food. This is one of our favorite restaurants. The authentic menu is just so good, you can’t get wrong for any dishes. We really love a few specific one but trying to try all of them. So far every single dish tastes delicious! I hope they have it open forever.
The portion sizes were great. It was 15 dollars for lo main and kung pao and it was a whole plates full. The texture of everything was good and you could tell quality. The problem I had with this place was the lack of flavor. It wasn’t spicy at all and the whole thing just kinda tasted like watered down soy sauce. There was also way too much celery.
The food was excellent and for a single serving two people could have shared the meal. Restraunt was clean, atmosphere was relaxing, server was courteous and checked on us multiple times. Definitely will revisit once I travel to Lawrence again.
