We have lived in Lawrence for three years and ate here for the first time. Dang! We were missing out. If you want great coffee options with the best breakfast in town, THIS is the place. We had the breakfast burrito and biscuits & gravy. Both are outstanding. The salsa that came with the burrito is easily the best salsa in Lawrence (sorry El Porto we still love you too). Great staff, our waitress was excellent, friendly and attentive.

One recommendation: It took a chain of four staff members to find out if the gluten free chocolate chip cookies were made with any almond products. For those of us allergic to tree nuts (and peanuts), it would be amazing to have a little sign of ingredients with the baked goods. I think the Merc has little ingredient lists on their baked goods— something like that would be much appreciated! 🚫🥜

My go-to coffee shop for most things! Usually one of the first places I take a friend who's in town visiting, meeting a client for work, working remote or just want a nice environment to read and hang out. Their service is absolutely fantastic and I love that I can grab either type of brew I'm wanting - cup of coffee or pint of beer! In many ways feels like you could be at a bike shop in the middle of Boulder! Also, the amount of seating options and electrical outlets can't be praised enough! You'll enjoy some good holiday movies on TV during season as well :-)

Took my e-bike in today to get some work done and everyone was super nice and helpful! They even squeezed me in today although they were busy. The guy at the counter kept eyeballing me weird while I was browsing as if I was gonna steal something 😂 but my overall experience was awesome! I’ve been to some of the competitors in town but they wanted to charge me double than what sunflower did! I will be coming here from now on.

Another outdoor shop, mainly bikes with a cafe inside. I came here for coffee. The place was bustling but the coffee came out quick. Did not try the food but the menu looked good.

One of the best coffee shops in town, imh. They make a nice cortado with oat milk. You get 2h of internet with a purchase of any item, and it is fast and reliable. I'd be comfortable going there even for a quick video call.

We went there for breakfast. We ordered the egg sandwich with bacon, classic breakfast, black tea (Earl Grey), and coffee. The food was tasty. Coffee refills should be included in the price. It is awkward to go back for a coffee refill only to be told you have to pay extra. I don't mind paying extra for coffee refills, but that option should be offered when the original order is placed.
