Sunflower Cafe is such a boon to the downtown Lawrence community. It’s often where we stop for a coffee on our way to the farmers market on Saturday mornings. The upstairs lounge is perfect for a coffee meet-up with a friend or an evening glass of wine with a good book. The service is always prompt and friendly. The food is simple, but good. And the coffee is top notch.
Our book club came here to meet for the month of October. We got coffee & breakfast! Everything was delicious😋! We spent probably 2 hours there just eating, talking & enjoying the atmosphere. Huge space upstairs, they were so busy but it's so big & spread out you don't feel crammed in like sardines. Can't wait to go back!
I sat at a table on the ground floor and my table was super wobbly so I moved to upstairs where 2 more tables were so wobbly that I witnessed a man lose his coffee to the table teetering to the side as he placed his coffee on the table. My food was brought to me but not my drink and when I asked about it, she just said I'm supposed to get it myself at the bar (i was not told this at the register). What's the point of you bringing my food if you can't also bring...
