Good shared ice. Went here twice, first day, flavored sno cone was plentiful. The second time I went and the flavor was light. The ice was soft and not hard like some of the other similar places.

I’ve always enjoyed visiting this place for their great sno cones until today. She did not pay attention and the order was incorrect. Then overflowed it with the cream which spilled all over and made a complete mess on my clothing and shoes. When I asked her for a bigger cup to dump it in, I was told I needed to pay for the cup. Napkins were not offered.

It would’ve been nice to know they in fact close at “9” instead of 10 before driving all the way there. Update your hours online please. There was already a review about this from 6 months ago!
Would love to rate this higher but went all the way there from Topeka for some and online said open to 10 got there 8:45 and was told they was already closed and everything was put away by a young lady. Wish they had updated hours on Google!

Tads snow cones is better than any other snow cone joint out there. Quality is awesome and I have never had any bad experiences. I think they would benefit from having the benches cleaned because there's always a sticky spot. I think it's all a part of the experience. 10/10

Tad's is always a fun summer tradition in Lawrence, and on a warm evening you can't beat the shaved ice for a fantastic price. Small to Large sizing is only $3.50-$5.00, so very reasonable for an experience, but quite a bit more than, say, a milkshake.Only problem with this establishment is the location. For years it's been right where it's at, but the NAPA store doesn't exactly provide the ambiance of some other family outings, let alone the fact that eating in a marginally busy parking lot isn't exactly the safest.*Local Tip* Grab the Tad's to go and head up to the KU campus just a quick drive across the street. Beautiful views and dozens of safer parking lots. Only trick is getting there before everything melts.....
