Every time I’ve gone in there the owner (?) seems barely interested in taking the order and certainly not remotely friendly. Always get an “ugh, another gringo” vibe. Which seems odd since that seems to be most of the clientele. This time will be the last. Waited 40 minutes for a fairly small and simple carry out order. quesabirria was basically a birria taco and did not come with the consommé as promised. Mulita was barely grilled at all. Maybe somebody’s been talking to the guy because I at least got a gruff “thanks” when I paid ( and tipped).

Some of the best tacos and Mexican food in Lawrence hands down! I love coming to this place and getting a margarita and some tacos. There birria tacos are to die for! The family that runs this place is always so nice and helpful and make some damn good food. I highly recommend checking this place out if you have some time and want some good local Mexican food!

I’ve been here five times already, so it’s enough to leave this 5 star review. The food is so good and not expensive. I always get the tacos and/or the green chile chicken tamales, and they never disappoint. Beware though, parking is hard to find

The napoles is awesome. I had never had cactus before and it surprised me how much I liked it. It was better than the meat tacos. I Recommend this place. Friendly staff and great food.
