I've been to alot of concerts here. I like all the seating. The bathrooms are super small. I wish they would offer more drink choices like bottles of mikes hard lemonade, seagrams wine coolers, and smirnoff wine coolers.
Great place to catch a show, whether local or touring acts.
It’s got taller ceilings than it used to have. Good sound.
Such an awesome venue! Friendly staff and fantastic live music!
Killer Venue and staff!
Came here with my kids to watch Dark Tranquility. Small venue felt more intimate with the band.
This is my favorite music venue of all time, period. The location is great, the atmosphere is freaking epic with a tastefully, well-maintained grungy /punkish (??) vibe, the sound is great and the staff are also really wonderful people!!
The venue can hold a sizable crowd but it's not massive. It's the perfect size in a sense: Shows that don't draw a massive crowd can still feel like they still have an audience, particularly if one is standing closer to the stage -- if that makes sense.
I hope to return soon. I haven't been able to do so for a few years now for medical reasons, but things are "looking-up" finally, if you will...! -- So allow me to share some photos I took from ~2018-2021. -- As a side-note, during the plague, they did a bit of a remodeling and opened up the vertical space. It looks like an airplane hangar, which is cool!! Though the place was great before, of course!! [Edit -- Looking at the uploaded images again, I am thinking these were all from 2021.]
Note that these images were not taken with a professional piece of kit. It's just that my favorite digital camera of all time is basically a consumer-grade point and shoot that happens to take really retro-looking images. Fix optics, etc. -- The noise texture looks straight out of 1979, which is a plus. No, really -- It is. I like the obvious noise texture...!! :)
Peace, and I hope to be back soon!!
Great place for live music.
Best live music venue on the face of the Earth!
Superior sound, staff, bartending and management! The walls of that place read like a who's who of the music industry. Definitely one of the crown jewels of the LFK community.
Do yourself a favor and catch a show there!
???
I've been to The Bottleneck for 30+ years as a guest as well as a performer. #1: sound system is great w great soundpeople. #2 :The staff is great so musicians play their best there. It used to be a dump but still rocked and had, and has, a great beer selection. #3 They've remodeled and it looks and feels a lot better. The staff was even nicer than past staff. They went out of their way to help me before the show and showed respect after. That stuff means a lot to me. The bartenders were great and everybody was having a great time on the other side of the bar. I'm a performer and a regular from the 90s era in LFK, before it was LFK, and I'm so happy they are still providing a fun live music environment. Lawrence is known for great shows and a cool vibe. The Bottleneck is a big part of that.

Best venue on Earth.
Halloween will feature a performance by Zero 9:36 and delayed gratification is the way in which I live life. Be in the present.
Plan for the future #noneofusaregettingout
Why doesn't someone make sure the sound is good? The music is 100% volume perfectly good loud and feel it in your body.... Then vocals are at about 170%... You can 100% hear them plus you get the extra 70% of pain directly In your ears like why? As a singer, can you not sing loud enough for one small room? I can. Why is it stupidly loud???? The music itself tho was perfectly loud, feeling my whole body vibrating. Vocals were just painfully pain loud turned all the way up with no thoughts or explanation to go along with it. I assume it was because the singers/ rappers were bad at using a mic so they just turned them up all the way and didn't care that they were screaming into them in between incorrectly mumbling into them.
At the particular show I went to there was no cover, the drinks were less expensive than I was expecting, and they have some stadium seating, good for me and my knees.
