Best atmosphere in town, imh. Killer fries, and all the sauces you might want! They always have good specials, that rotate monthly. Must go.

Simply put, the real deal for hamburger lovers. Not smash burgers, but juicy, thick ones cooked to order with proper buns and all the excellent sides you'd want. No competition in Kansas or Missouri! Friendly staff and decent selection of very good beer.

I got the smoke burger, and it was tasteless, and my fries were cooked in old oil. I’ve been going there since they opened , but this was my last time eating there.

So, picture this: I dozed off at the boring old amtrek station and woke up on a bus hurtling to who knows where. And who's sitting next to me? None other than my roommate, of all people. Turns out, my snoring was so obnoxious that she had to rescue me from the wrath of the conductors by dragging me onto this random bus heading west.
Next thing I know, we're in Lawerence Kansas, a place I've vaguely heard of because supposedly they have a killer burger joint. Off we go to The Burger Stand at the Casbah, where the scent of sizzling burgers and fries hits me like a ton of bricks. I can practically taste the Smoke burger topped with bacon and gouda, paired with duck fat fries. My roommate, on the other hand, goes for The Catfish Poboy.
After a speedy trip through the line, we snag a cozy booth and eagerly await our grub. The scolding I received for my amtrek station napping is still ringing in my ears as I dig into the perfectly cooked meal. Devouring every last bite, I start to ponder how in the world we'll get back home. But hey, I guess I'll cross that bridge when I finish exploring this awesome town. Thanks Burger Stand at the Casbah for a wonderful memorable meal, if I even find myself back here I will be sure to eat from you again.

Try the duck fat or polenta fries! Next time I would skip the Barnyard Chicken sandwich and do a burger instead. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Way overpriced. $50 for two mediocre burger meals.
