Good eats, friendly staff, great atmosphere! Check ‘em out!!
True LFK here, some of the best breakfast in town, awesome staff and a small town neighborly feel. Highly recommend!
The Best B&G you've ever eaten on Saturday morning with 🍄 mushroom gravy 💯🆗🍏😨😨🤩🤩
If you want the perfect cup of coffee, Sue will have it dialed in for you. My wife and I haven’t had a bad breakfast at the Roost with so many options it’s truly impressive that the cooks keep pumping out the best breakfast options in town. Great atmosphere makes this another Lawrence MUST go to spot. Excellent food coffee drinks service and atmosphere. A Lawrence original.
Great service!
Great place for brunch. One of my favorite places for breakfast in Lawrence.
I’ve loved this place place since the first time I had it some years ago. The Biscuits and Gravy is my favorite but they have good coffee too, among other dishes and they are always welcoming and super friendly. Only caveat is they don’t have a ton of seating so be prepared to wait as many people come here. That being said it’s worth the wait!
I had brunch here every weekend for almost 7 years.
That's how good this place is.

The place is pretty nice but the food wasn't my favorite. It looked really good but didn't taste like anything
Vegetarian options: They most definitely have different options, which is what drew me in anyway
Dietary restrictions: They're pretty attentive when you say you're looking for food that's vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free

Pretty cool breakfast spot in Lawrence, Kansas. We got there less than five minutes after they opened and the restaurant was already over half full. Very popular spot for a reason.
My wife had potato cakes and eggs, and I had blueberry pancakes with a sausage patty. The servings were large, and the food was very good.

We were never seated. Our party of 6 was given a wait time of 25 to 30 minutes that stretched to an hour. We followed up twice with the host. The first time we were told our table was close- 5 more minutes. 15 minutes later we were told our table was ready, but they were giving the kitchen a break. All the while they were seating other groups. If you are unable to seat a party of 6, please say that. We were disappointed, had two hangry tweens, and finally gave up to go elsewhere. Disappointing experience.

OK breakfast food. The potato pancakes are just fried mashed potatoes with cheese in them. Not what you would typically expect if you know anything about potato pancakes.

Wife and I got breakfast here on our vacation in Lawrence. I love trying breakfast spots, even though i'm a "standard fare" style of breakfast eater. This is probably THE best spot we've had. I'm not a french toast guy, but the brandy french toast made me an absolute believer. You don't even need butter or syrup on it - it's that good. My wife had a goat cheese omelette, which, while a bit overstuffed, had absolutely amazing flavor. Potatoes tasted fresh and amazing - they have this specific flavor that reminds me of cooking over a campfire - there's a kind of garlic smokiness in them and it's not heavy at all. Latte was great too.
Atmosphere is super cozy. Just a really great way to wake up to your day. We'll probably eat here every time we're in Lawrence.
