Visiting from Florida and Joe was fantastic! The bar reminds me of our beach bars back home (minus the beach of course). Joe was lively, friendly, and personable. We went mid afternoon on a Saturday and the bar wasn’t too crowded. Drinks were great and you can’t beat the price. Very happy that I got to experience this place and that we got to meet Joe.
We were in Lawrence dropping off our kid at
KU and decided to check this place out. This is now one of our favorite bars of all time. Joe was slinging some excellent drinks and interacted with everyone at the bar. If I lived in Lawrence, this would be my neighborhood bar.

I was visiting family for the holidays. I visited the Sandbar, to watch a Chiefs game. It was awesome they hosted a potluck and had random specials for shots. Everyone was inviting and chatty. Best of all super dog friendly. I mean like, dogs off leash with no one freaking out. I loved my visit.
