I was introduced to SconeLady's Coffee Shop on a recent Caffeine Crawl. With infrequent visits to Lawrence and the shop being in a secluded strip mall on the less interesting west side of LFK, I probably never would have ventured in if not for the Caffeine Crawl. The space gives a bit of a rural and rustic vibe, with the large sleek industrial roaster in the center of the seating area. We were treated to a start to finish roasting demonstration and samples of the dark and light roast drip coffees, along with tasty biscotti. I brought some scones home for a treat for my wife - she loved them. Anytime in the future that I find myself in west Lawrence, I would stop in to further support and expand my limited experience from the first visit.

Another place that people recommend in Lawrence for some weird reason. This place, Munchers, and La Prima Tazza are only alive due to their rapidly shrinking (typically Boomer-driven) reputations. I had quite possibly the worst latte of my life. And the scone's leave nothing to be desired - and the place is named after them! Sheesh. Go elsewhere.

Best place in Lawrence. Seriously have tried everything else. Owner knows her craft creating unique flavor combinations and cold brew ice cubes. People be dumb if they complain.

If you are looking for smooth and strong coffee try what I got (vanilla syrup, concentrated cold press espresso with coffee ice, and oat milk)! The owner was super sweet! Such a cool place! They even sell other local products too!

Great coffee for a great price. I'm not a scone person but the rest of the baked goods (and coffee) are bringing me back!

The scones are good but the coffee is very bitter. Yuck.

Nice local coffee shop that serves fresh baked goods and has good coffee! The owner is nice and I could tell her patrons really like her. The shop is quite cozy and quiet so it was a good place to finish some work in the morning since they close in the afternoon!

Y'all, I come to Lawrence from out of town pretty frequently and have been looking for a good local place for coffe, and after looking for awhile, let me tell you, this is the place. 100% worth trying.

This is a hidden gem with great coffee! The women that made my coffee seemed shy but was super sweet. I got the Henrys hazelnut latte, an iced vanilla latte and a espresso brownie! In the iced latte she used coffee ice cubes which I thought was such a great touch! The walls are decorated with cool paintings from a local artist. Quiet place but I highly recommend!

We love this place and Carrie and Lukas, the owners. The scones and biscotti are great. They have so many options of good coffee. We like to support small businesses and go where they remember your favorite drink. Joan and Steve Heide

My favorite coffee shop in town! Even my son knows this, and announces as such when we are parking. I’m not sure who’s more excited to discover the scone and muffin options of the day, him or me, but I’m pretty sure it’s me. I moved to Lawrence, KS from NYC a couple years ago and the SconeLady has been my go-to coffee shop since I discovered they make the ice cubes for their iced coffee out of coffee! It’s genius! Why isn’t everyone doing that?!! It makes for the strongest iced coffee in town. Yum! The couple who run the place could not be kinder. And they always remember your order, because it’s that kind of place. They sell excellent beans roasted in-house, and their daily home-made baked goods are always stellar. You’re extra lucky if it’s chocolate chip pumpkin muffin day! Do yourself a favor and visit the SconeLady tomorrow morning!
