My wife and I ate here for our 5th anniversary. Our server Tori was very tentative and friendly. We enjoyed our drinks and my wife liked her shrimp pasta. I got the ribeye. The steak was cooked the way I wanted but wasn't very flavorful. Felt like a waste of meat and money since it was $65. My wife really liked the chocolate cake. Unfortunately shortly after we got home my wife started getting sick with stomach problems that has her running to the bathroom every 20 minutes.

The food was great. The service was sooooo slow. Almost walked out after an hour and a half of waiting.

This was by far the worst experience I have had at a restaurant. I tried to give them slack due to it being Valentine’s Day but it was to bad. We waited 45 min past our reservation. We had their $175 for two people set menu. My wife ordered crab cakes for the appetizer and was told that they were out of crab meat and had to use salmon. Not a big deal until they came out and there were 2 the size of half dollars. I ordered the bone marrow which wasn’t terrible but was enough to fill up a teaspoon. Next we got the shrimp bisque that tasted like burnt butter and boiled milk. I noticed that there was no shrimp in it and asked our waitress and she said that they weren’t putting shrimp in the dish and that it’s shrimp flavor. That was the last time we heard from the waitress. Our next dishes came out and it was a lobster tail and a filet. The lobster tail was the most rubbery and dry lobster tail I’ve ever seen and the rice it was served over was worse than boxed minute rice. The filet was cooked okay but had no seasoning and tasted like it was freezer burnt. At this point we had only taken a couple bites and decided to ask for a manager. We waited 20 min and got up 4 times to ask multiple people. During our wait our dessert came and they tried setting it down on a table with full entrée plates. It was now 10pm the manager finally came and they waived our meal. I 100 percent will not be returning and do/will not recommend this place to anyone. We left and went to whataburger which had 100 times better service and food.

I was very disappointed in this experience. First off, our reservation was set for 8pm and we didn't get seated until 827pm. The entire restaurant seemed disorganized and unprepared for their "valentines day" menu. When walking to our seat after waiting so long there were over 10+ empty tables, which I felt was odd after waiting that long. For starters, we ordered a wine pairing and the wine didn't show up until we were almost done with our entire first course. Next, they brought out our desert course twice before the main course. Finally, we just said to set it aside as it was too much to keep receiving it. The food overall was very mid. I expect a lot more when I'm paying 100+ per a person for a meal. There was no visit from any person in management to check on how the food was or any care on the dining expierence. It was a rush in and rush out. The only redeeming quality of this place was the waiter. The rest of it was subpar and I have received a better experience (including the food) at a local diner. I would not recommend this place to anybody I know or anything owned by these people.

I never write reviews for restaurant but unfortunately I just had to say something. First, I made a reservation for 9:15pm on Valentine’s Day. When we arrived, they stated they were working on guest who had reservations since 8:45pm. That should’ve been my first red flag. Secondly, we finally sat down, our waiter was nice and kind. I felt bad for the guy due to him apologizing for wait, which obviously isn’t his fault. However, the food took longer than expected. I ordered a specific dish that was on the special course menu and they had ran out of the option I chose. He said they had a substitution for the dish, which later to come find out I was charged an extra $8 for the “substitution”. I had to order my dessert for carry out because i would’ve been eating till almost midnight at this point. I personally don’t believe the Valentine’s Special was $175 worth it and not to mention i did tip 20% only because my waiter was kind and aware of our frustration. However, my dinner should’ve not been $260 for this experience. I hate to say it because I don’t like to be those people, but I unfortunately will not be eating here after my experience.

Risotto tasted like saffron and warm water. Disappointing. The beet salad was very good.

Had a great evening at Wine and Dive. Live music on Wednesdays. Wonderful waiter named Jaiden was so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come back again.

This is a fine restaurant with one exception. We felt very rushed throughout the meal. Menus were handed to us before we even sat down and it went downhill. On at least three occasions I had to speak up and ask the servers to slow down and stop being so attentive so we could enjoy out meal and conversation. Every time I started a conversation with my son. whom we had not seen in awhile, someone interrupted with some trivial question. I am used to dining where the servers are essentially unobtrusive until needed. I am prepared to give this restaurant a try again because I did like the food. However, I am taking another couple out to clebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and I am going to be very up front about the service expected before we sit down. I get that "turn" is the name of the game but this isn't a fast food joint. If they expect to have repeat business with the older and well-heeled crowd they need to be a little more attentive to the needs of their customers.

Tuesday night 6pm table seating. Waitress notified us that due to their tortilla shortage, fish tacos would not be an option. (They could have easily gone to the grocery store and bought tortillas, so this didn't really make any sense.) After ordering, waitress notified us that "they were out of the wagyu beef for the meat sauce" that my husband ordered, so he went with the seafood mac & cheese. My friend ordered a salad and added salmon. She instead got a salad, then they presented the FULL SALMON ENTREE to her later...that was a difference of $24 extra charged for a piece of fish that she ordered to be served on top of her salad. Same thing for me, except when they presented me with my salad I said, "I ordered salmon with my salad." So, they promptly brought me out a piece of fish. It was obvious that the waitress was unversed on the menu--she clearly didn't understand the option to add protein to a salad. Downtown Lawrence location is nice, the service was good, the food was good.

We had a great dining experience here. Great wine, really good food. Got to sit outside and didn't feel rushed. Our server was attentive and also let us enjoy our meal unhurried. Great spot!

Beautiful restaurant with much potential. Service was good, but the food was so very bland. We had the onion soup, boar ragu and the shrimp scampi. Soup was a hit. Ragu and scampi had very little flavor. Ragu was definitely not cooked long enough to achieve the consistency it should have - was very chunky. Only ate about 1/3 of it because it was like eating nothing. Had high hopes, but left disappointed.
