Very good! It’s all around a small town roastery, with the culture and style that comes with it. But it beats out a lot of roasteries here in Chicagoland. The owner is clearly passionate about coffee, and it shows. I picked up the o dark thirty, rays rocket fuel, and bastilla beans. I only make espresso at home. The rocket fuel was pretty good. The o dark thirty was probably the best French roast I’ve ever had. The beans are nearly dripping in oil (a good thing), and the shot was amazing. Rich, chocolatey, a little earthy and buttery, not too bright, and just the right amount of tannins at the end to give a good mouthfeel. It had a thick crema on top. After the first sip, my impression was, “Man! I got to learn how to roast beans like this.”
Even though I roast my own beans at home, I’ll definitely be ordering from this shop from time to time.
Okay I'll be honest that I'd never been here before only during times where kids do the trick 'or treating downtown and this was a great visit. My buddy and I met for coffee to talk over business and we got the chance to meet and visit with the owner, Ray Ford. It was wonderful and these folks do their own in-house roasting and have plenty of room in the front for comfortable seating and then they have a nice meeting room just beyond the area where they prepare your drinks. It's going to be on my regular round for coffee for sure!

I typically get a raspberry mocha with either a gluten free scone or a crepe. The folks that run it are absolutely lovely individuals. One of if not, my favorite place in town. ♥️

Burr Roasters has that unique, quintessential coffeehouse feel to it with cozy booths and a meeting area. It's located in historic downtown Leavenworth amongst the beautiful 2-story brick buildings on Delaware Street. As soon as you enter, the amazing aroma of roasted coffee beans overwhelms your senses and you feel right at home. The Roaster is visible and you can see that they authentically roast a variety of coffee beans and everyone we chatted with was so knowledgeable about the plethora of products they make. Super friendly staff and everything on the menu tastes phenomenal! My son and I have visited numerous times and love the hospitable, family environment. They also carry several products in their store area including coffee beans (of course!), mugs, coffee-themed gifts, local honey and so much more. Definitely grab a cup and sit a while. You won't regret it! Great folks! Good food. Good memories. ❤️☕

Team, this is why business go down. Went here with the family last weekend for breakfast and coffee. Coffee is really good, but had to wait around 40 minutes for food when they were only two customers there. Ordered the crepes with nutella and strawberries, i had to throw it straight to the garbage, no kidding. Worst crepes ever, my 8 yrs old son can do better. Slightly amount of nutella, WITH SOME STRAWBERRY JAM!! They where two young ladies taking care of the store, they were really respectful and polite but is not their fault. This falls on the owners, if you going to do something you do it right or better don’t do anything. If not, the business is going down soon. Every little detail counts.
Update: In the menu, says strawberry with Nutella, the menu DID NOT specify jam (see the picture attached). Im pretty sure you already went and add it. Use real strawberries!! Who make crepes with jam?? You may as well replace your coffee for instant coffee and specify that in the menu too. I would have go and talk to someone but after waiting for like an hour for two crepes we had to leave. I can see that the administration can’t take constructive criticism which is feedback intended to help someone improve by pointing out areas of weakness in a specific and actionable way, while also offering positive reinforcement and suggestions for improvement. This reviews are a valuable tool for personal and professional growth. With your response I can see the future of your company (average).

Very disappointed based off seeing other reviews. Excessively long wait times for drink and food. Recommend adding an additional barista.

Coffee, food, and atmosphere were all great. Only one barista was working while one other person prepped food, which delayed service considerably for a Saturday morning. However, if you are not in a rush, it is a pleasant place to have coffee! Additionally, there are several Gluten free options.

My kiddos LOVE coming to “the coffee shop” with me and Burr’s is the reason why! They’ve perfected an atmosphere of cozy and comfortable, whether you’re a high class business professional (booths, quiet tables with power outlets ready to go) or a tired mom with 3 young kiddos in tow (family room, high chairs, crayons/coloring sheets, books). The regular coffee and tea menu is solid and the seasonal menu never disappoints. On top of it all, they have cold chocolate milk, the biggest chocolate chip cookies, and darn good staff!! Truly a Leavenworth gem.

Awesome coffee and even better conversation! The owner is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about coffee—especially its unique connection to the U.S. Army. Love supporting this veteran-owned gem in Leavenworth. A must-visit!
What a delightful place. Great coffee and plenty of room to relax and enjoy it. They have art available for purchase feom local artists and a book selection of classics available too.
Best Dirty Chai I've had in my life!! The girls were all welcoming and sweet!! Love to have found you! Would definitely come back! Some background music to break off the awkward silence while sipping on my drink would be nice!!
