I just have to say the customer service is amazing, and the food is amazing. Best catfish I have EVER had. I waited about an hour just because it was my first time and I didn’t know how busy they were on Fridays but I was determined to try their food and I am very patient as a person, if you aren’t I do recommend calling ahead! BUT this is now my favorite place in town to eat! I just am speechless 0 problems! Great portions for your buck too!! My daughter is almost 2 and is the PICKIEST eater and I decided to get a kids meal with catfish and she made a happy plate! I will be coming back as long as this restaurant is open! Great job, and overly satisfied customers/mini customer!!!

The greens were right out the can no seasoning. Cornbread box mix. Fish dirty taste like right out Missouri river. Awful. Tarter sauce taste like glue. The worst version of soul food. Horrible.

Amazing southern comfort food! The catfish is perfect! You have to grab you food and go, there's no seating. We make it a picnic! We drive 35 miles just to go there and it's so worth it!

Holy catfish dinner! This tiny establishment delivers on its name. It's only open W/Th/F for lunch through supper with a menu full of Southern style soul comfort food. Run by wonderful people. It's a grab-it-and-run kind of place (no seating).Four of us had "small" catfish and red beans and rice, fried okra, candied yams, jalapeño hushpuppies, cornbread, and peach cobbler, and pecan pie. Every bite better than the last. Cost about $15 each. But there were leftovers for another small meal.We will definitely be back again and again whenever visiting Leavenworth.

The catfish filets were breaded in cornmeal, perfectly cooked and the mac and cheese was homey and had a good cheese flavor without being heavy. The service was welcoming. call your order in advance and either name a time for pick up or get how long your wait will be. Mine was 25 minutes and we'll worth the wait. There isn't dine in available, but napkins and utensils are provided. I'll be rescheduling any trips to Leavenworth to days they are open.

Our family moved to Kansas recently and this was one of the first restaurants we tried and we were not disappointed. The customer service is unlike anything we've experienced before, Rachel is so welcoming and kind! The catfish is delicious, fried perfectly! Grab a slice of the amazing chocolate cake too!

As I sit here with deep fried catfish, rice and beans, fried okra and fried potatoes with onions before me all I can say is I made an "Exceptional Choice" for my meal this evening. The cornbread is the best I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and visit this establishment. I live 70 miles away and I will be back many times.Great food ladies!!!!

Kansas is all about BEEF, good Beef mostly...tastes nothing like fish. Then I discovered a gem of a place called Excellent Choice. OH MY, was it ever. Run by Rachel, my British friend and her mother-in-law. They are both graduates of Culinary Institutes and their menu fare is nothing less that exceptional. Rachel remembers names and orders of her customers. Beware..be afraid: she will try and persuade you into a home slice of cake. Just give in, it is well worth it. Reasonable prices, happy service. ?
