Veterans Day Appreciation 🇺🇸 Outstanding Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just stopped in at Long John Silver’s in Leavenworth, Kansas, on this Veterans Day and was greeted by JJ — a young man who recently started working at this location. From the moment I walked in, he was polite, respectful, and genuinely helpful. Between him and his manager, they made sure I received a generous Veterans Day meal, and their kindness truly made my day.
In a world where good service and gratitude can be hard to find, this team went above and beyond to make me — a veteran — feel valued and appreciated. Their warmth and professionalism reminded me that simple gestures of respect still go a long way.
As a Navy man, I was proud to strike the ceremonial brass bell as I walked out — satisfied, grateful, and honored 🔔

The service was good. Only three people working and the place was swamped. They kept the quality or food high and did not rush. Most people were understanding and the crew provided great service.

The building smells like an open sewer. Completely lost my appetite the moment I stepped in. How does the staff stand to work in that smell all day?

Last time I tried to go into a eating establishment on the south end of Leavenworth. Much to our surprise when we walked in you could smell the sewer. we stopped in a year or two ago at the IHOP which is close by and the lobby was so bad with a smell.
And what made it worse was the pieces of fish and chicken we received were tiny compared to what they usually have been. For as much as they charge which was almost $30 for two people, I want the bigger pieces. We did get a boatload of tartar sauce. Two people with six pieces of food between them don't need 15 tartar sauces. I hate to say this cuz I love long johns and I rarely eat there because there's not one close to me, but I'll just go to St. Joe next time.

They’re really rude and the customer facing employees have zero social skills, I walked in and they just blankly started at me..
Sat for about 30 minutes for my order to be informed they forgot about it so they’re making it now I ask how much longer I can expect to wait because I was running out of time and they rudely shouted that it’ll be ready when it’s ready after I’ve been in this establishment for 40 minutes for 1 order
consider increasing your wages so you can attract better talent, I’ve always been baffled that LJS hasn’t gone under after all these years
At the LJS in Leavenworth Kansas. We have went in to get dinner around 7pm to 7:30pm on multiple occasions and find them closed. The website says they are open until 9pm. We have even went in a couple times a bit earlier, (6:30pm) and again they were closed. So if the hours have changed please by all means change the times on the website as to not mislead customers. I myself work in customer service, this is not a good practice. If your suppose to be open until 9pm. Then be open until 9pm. Or change the times on the website and the doors.

My husband came in on Friday to get me the salmon dinner. A lady ahead of him had ordered the salmon dinner as well. They ended up out of the salmon. I got the two fish meal instead with rice instead of fries. The fish was small, dry and gross. The rice was not good at all. Talk about disappointing! Not going back, EVER!!!

We just were in the drive thru. No one would answer so we pulled up to the window and no one was in there. We tried calling and got no answer. What a joke!

I asked the drive-thru lady Sonia) if she had change for $100. She said she did. I received my food, but I am still waiting for my change. 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes. I told her numerous times that I would just pay with my credit card, but at this point she refuses to give me my money back and take the card. Now my food is not hot. I have no idea why she was so hell-bent on getting the change for the $100. Fish was very greasy. On the positive side, they gave me replacement food that was fresh, but I did not want to spend 20 minutes in LJS drive-thru. Terrible experience. 6/9/25 11:57 am. Order #9019038
