Lunch special today was pollo asado. Wow it was amazing. Very tender, flavorful and the service was outstanding and quick. I would definitely recommend. We will for sure go back. Unfortunately I had already cut the chicken before I took the photo. I couldn't help it, the food was amazing! By the way, the tortilla chips were served warm and the salsa was great as well.

Tampico is more than just a spot for great Mexican food. It’s where I go when the day’s been rough and I need something that feels familiar and uplifting. The food is consistently delicious, with flavors that hit just right every time. Whether it’s a plate of enchiladas, a chimichanga, or just chips and salsa, everything tastes fresh and satisfying.

The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. They remember faces, greet you with warmth, and make the whole experience feel personal. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with just enough energy to lift your mood without overwhelming it.

This is my comfort place. When I need things to feel right again, Tampico delivers.

Great Mexican food in a small town. Trendy decor, tasty food, and great service. Our first night at Leavenworth is a success. Thanks for the warm welcome and food!

Me and My wife went here, the staff was very friendly. However the food we ordered was not good. I did not even finish the Tacos. I love street tacos and these were just un seasoned burnt steak on a tortilla. No cilantro, no onion, no flavor. I could not even try the rice and beans after that. My wife ordered the jalisco steak and it was not seasoned. Would not consider this place if you want anything close to real Mexican food.

Best service ever! Who knew you could find such great Mexican food in Kansas of all places. 5 stars doesn’t even do it justice.

It was our first time coming to this restaurant and we were not disappointment. The atmosphere and the service were really good. People were very friendly and the food was tasty. We will be back for sure.
