We just happened to drive by The depot this morning on our way back home. There were many cars in the parking lot so we thought it must be a great place! Wow, what an understatement ! We waited about 5 minutes in their “lobby”. After being seated, we were graciously served by Emily. She was very attentive and helpful. She brought us the last of their homemade cinnamon rolls (doughy and delicious with a cream cheese frosting!) We tried to order more, but they were sold out. I had the Huevos Rancheros (Emily’s recommendation). It was so flavorful and had great ingredients with just the right amount of heat and spice. I will order it again. My wife had a breakfast with sausage, biscuit with gravy and hash browns and scrambled eggs. It was a large portion and delicious. Our friends had the pulled chicken Benedict and an omelette. There were no leftovers on anyone’s plate. The restaurant is a beautiful old train depot and still has lots of history. They have a great menu to select from and serve breakfast or lunch all day. This place is a true hidden gem and we will make the 30 mile drive to eat here whenever we can! 4/4 Stars!!!

We brought a large group (50) to The Depot and had a wonderful experience. Two adjacent rooms were reserved for us in advance with dedicated servers. Mike was great to communicate with via email in advance to coordinate, and he welcomed our bus outside upon our arrival. Mary also welcomed the group and provided an introduction to The Depot once we were inside and seated. I also received countless compliments about how much our travelers enjoyed the food! Specifically, I heard raves about the pancakes, turkey burger, lady marmalade burger, reuben, and tiny's ticket.
For me, personally -- the black bean burger was absolutely delicious! Black beans, brown rice, beets and more -- this thick (!) patty was not your average veggie burger. I will come back not just for the service -- but to have that black bean burger again! :)

I absolutely loved The Depot! Great food and great customer service! Emily took such great care of us. With it being, Mothers Day it was super busy. But everything came out in a timely manner. From the homemade cinnamon rolls to the food! It was fantastic! I highly recommend this place and will definitely go here again.

Ive lived in leavenworth county for almost 10 years. The depot is the number one brunch spot in this area! The staff is always welcoming and attentive. The food comes out in a reasonable amount of time, even when busy. As a family of five we average about 40 dollars at the end of service for all our meals, which is super affordable. My recommendation will always be the “WUEVOS RANCHEROS” as a hispanic from California, they put a nice twist to this dish. Whenever we have family from out of town, this place is a must and everyone enjoys the food and always wants to come back here when in town. I highly recommend this place whenever you’re in the area.

What a wonderful place to go !!! Just to tour the building is worth going, but the food and staff are top-notch. The biscuits are amazing, hamburger is delicious, prices are very reasonable! Go there.....you won't be disappointed.
