Best place I've found to get quality meat.

My mom went into this establishment this morning and ordered two brisket sandwiches. She has done this several times in the past
With no problem at all. Today they gave her a mixed mush of meat with barbecue sauce mixed in.
I called to Fritz's to discuss this and the woman on the phone was really nice and told me no problem just bring in what we don't want and they'll make it right.
So this afternoon we go into this establishment, and brought back the mush she received in the morning.
We were met with one woman who was not very nice, and another woman who had an attitude the size of Texas.
I told her that there's no reason that there should be hostility. We just want two brisket sandwiches with the meat on the side and no sauce.
She tried to tell us that my mom ordered the mush, and wouldn't even listen to my mom and kept talking over her.
This woman was the older of the three women there today.
100% hands down the best smoked meat in KC, the people behind the counter need an attitude check , especially the older woman.

Oldest smokehouse restaurant in Kansas. Got a shaved meat sandwich. Hole in the wall but quality was great. Will get tailgate food next game weekend!

First, I don’t like hot dogs. Except Fritz’s! They are delish. Love the service, the sausages are amazing, and I always find a new KC made product. The counter ladies are super friendly and helpful! I always leave with a happy belly and a smile on my face.

We called twice and went in once to confirm that they would have smoked turkey for a large nonprofit dinner we are hosting. All three times we were told to come in on Wednesday morning before thanksgiving. We were told that they never sell out and that Turkey would not be available for purchase before Wednesday. Arrived this morning and were told they sold out yesterday. Now we are scrambling to put together our meal! Very, very, very disappointed and will never trust these guys or give them our recommendation or business.

Waited 2 hours to drop turkey off and waited 2.5 hours to pick up!!! This is ridiculous!! They said only one register working and people called in sick!! This needs to improve!!! Will not do this again- it’s 28 degrees out and people are very upset and freezing!!

I frequent this spot for lunch A LOT. I throw down on the smoked half chicken. One of the few places in town where you can get real authentic brats. Their jerky is excellent too. Massive sandwiches if that's your style. Has daily lunch specials.
