Showed up at 25 min after opening (10am) and asked for a table of 6, the hostess said ‘I just can’t do it, we’re booked’. Apparently they don’t allow any room for walk ins on Easter Sunday brunch. Didn’t even offer a wait time, just said no. Even though there was at least 20+ open tables. We’ve done this for the last 4 years and have been perfectly fine with getting a table or possibly waiting a little. Tavern, next door was very accommodating, mentioned all she could offer is a high top and had it ready by the time we walked over.

I remember years ago Rye being something special. They used to have the best bloody Mary's with bacon infused vodka. the last time I had a bloody there it was just zing Zang. Our last visit we had ordered cheese curds and most of the cheese had oozed out leaving mostly filling. Food is now just overpriced and mediocre. For the cost, there's plenty of better restaurants. We used to love taking family there when they came to visit visit, but we probably won't be going back let alone taking company.

Definitely a pricey place! Low lit, relaxed but still on the fancier side. Our service was amazing, the server was so kind, personable, and quick. The salad was great, chicken on top was quite dry though, which isn’t great for a chicken place. Whipped goat spread is amazing, the pesto mac and cheese is rich but great. The cheese curds were also great!!
