Always a wonderful experience with the staff and the food has good vegan and gluten free options and very large game selection.

They can make most of their menu items gluten-free. Their waffles are delicious. We shared Mediterranean waffles and strawberry banana Nutella waffles. It was Yummy! Will definitely go back.

5 stars for atmosphere, 5 stars for service, 0 stars for food.

I ordered the chicken and waffles. As a man who has very simple expectations from waffles, I was very disappointed. It was soft and floppy, no crunch and no flavor. The chicken was mediocre at best, especially given the +$10 price range. Trust me when I say this, you would be better off making Kellogg’s Eggo waffles.

However, the service was good. They also have board games which is cool.
I would come back again, but only for the free board games.

The right vibe for a public space, encouraging community play. It models the values of the PUBLIC market where it’s located.
+More food options than the OP location
-louder environment during busy hours can affect some game play and auditory sensitive types.

Slowest tea of my life. I ordered a tea and they apparently fulfill orders sequentially so I had to wait 10+ minutes for a tea that was stirring, already brewed and just needed to have a cup filled. But the person checking out took my tea order and then went to cook food. They need to rethink service. If it’s an easy fulfillment that should take less than 15 seconds is ridiculous to make someone wait for a simple tea pour. Can’t speak to food didnt try it. The tea was ok

Smaller than their home store in OP but still the same quality of food and service. Game wall selection is limited and it’s a very high traffic especially this weekend with the art festival. Seasonal drink was tasty, but small amount.

A great new Third Place in town! It's in a convenient location, and there are plenty of different types of games to enjoy. We've gone a number of times now to meet friends, and everything is delicious. The unicorn tea is a favorite, so is their chai milk tea.

Such a shame that this location is such a different experience than at their full location. I ordered a waffle from the new corner cafe and it was not edible, which, as someone whose waffle standards are pretty basic, mean that it was really bad, guys. It was clearly frozen, and nearly crumbled as soon as I touched it. Even drowned in syrup it was dry as paper. This place has a very cool concept and atmosphere, a great selection of games, but man the food is just awful. Please improve the quality and this would be such an easy win!

You'd expect this place to be delicious, right? Waffles aren't that difficult to make.I got the chicken and waffles. Their waffles are very strange, they are dry and chalky. Their chicken was cold and soggy. I'm disappointed that with an entire kitchen, the food is still subpar. The price for it is also ridiculous. Also got a cookies and creme cake pop, took two bites and threw it away. Burnt chocolate and a soggy waffle. The menu looks so good, then when the food comes out it tastes like a frozen microwaved meal. Would not recommend.

Originally we were very excited for the potential of a breakfast spot to make up for losing Butterfields and The Red Kitchen.. However, there werent really basic breakfast options available so we haven’t been to the market for breakfast in a long time. We went for dinner and ordered chicken and waffles. It was dry and lacked flavor so it didn’t get eaten. Need to change up the waffle recipe. The service was quick, but not as personable as the other vendors.

I've been a fan of the Cardboard Corner Cafe on Metcalf for a while, and so I wanted to check this place out after I heard it had opened. I think it's a great new twist on the classic, with a different menu and a great environment. The Apple Gouda sandwich is a masterpiece, and I highly recommend trying it out. Also been a fun time going through the Boba menu, getting to try different combinations and enjoying the results.Staff has always been attentive and helpful, and it's clear they enjoy their jobs. I don't believe this spot has been open for too long, but it seems like everyone is taking to it well. Lot of families and friends posting up to play board games and table top games.Superb environment, food, and service; hard to ask for anything more!

This is a special place. The people care about your experience. They want to do the best job they can do for every customer. If you are unsatisfied, they go out of their way to make it right. If you give them feedback, they listen. If you thought their Overland Park location was a cool concept, this is more of the same. As they become more and more comfortable at Lenexa Public Market, it’s just going to get better and better.

The atmosphere is good and all, but the food was awful. We had the chicken and waffles, and the waffles were dryer than a nun's... sense of humor, the chicken was lukewarm and chewy like it had been microwaved, and it absolutely was not worth the money. Super dissappinted, we would have come here all the time, but not after this.

Had the bacon egg and cheese waffle- liked the small portion, but the waffle was sweet and the bacon/garlic aioli mixture with it wasn’t in a good way. Greens were super lightly dressed, and the “avocado” for 2$ was a squirt. unimpressed. Would go back and try the waffle pops though, they looked delish!
