“Ate here last night and this restaurant is a "must try!" I had the 12 oz. KC Strip, mashed potatoes, garlic green beans, and... for dessert, apple caramel bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream was to die for! The atmosphere was a bit loud for my taste, but aside from that, it was delightful!”

It's a little out of the ways for us so we don't normally go to this area for anything but decided to give it a shot today. The place was not busy and we were informed that it's best to have a reservation even though there was no wait. We were seated by the bar area and waited while watching other guys get served and made eye contact with the bartenders several times who were assisting other guests that arrived after us only to be ignored. The experience was extremely disappointing and we didn't stay to order as no one came to offer coffee or water let alone order breakfast. Hopefully you have a better experience but we will not be back.”

The family and staff are always warm, welcoming, and attentive. The cozy dining room feels like you’ve stepped into a neighborhood restaurant in Colombia. From the Colombian music playing in the background to the aroma of authentic dishes and fresh drinks, the entire experience is immersive.

We visit Tartaretas nearly every week for our little taste of Colombia close to home. My wife is Colombian, and after traveling there many times to visit her family, we’ve come to appreciate what authentic Colombian food should taste like. Tartaretas captures that authenticity beautifully. The family recognizes us every time we visit, and we’ll happily keep coming back whenever we’re craving a genuine taste of Colombia. “I started out eating at a Pegah's in Shawnee. I was thrilled when they opened the one in Lenexa and eat there on a regular basis. I had breakfast there last Sunday and had perfect food (Combo Breakfast) and service. Tonight, I went for dinner. They were pretty busy but I was immediately seated in a quiet corner in the back. My server, Ali, brought me water per my request and took my order. She was hustling from table to table, but always assured me my order would be ready soon. A wonderful young man named Zack noticed me sitting with water and rushed over to make sure I had been helped. Soon after, Ali brought my chicken fried chicken. She was always smiling and checked on me a handful of times. The food, as always, was DELICIOUS! Thank you for your delicious food and wonderful staff. I recommend Pegah's to everyone!”

“I showed up at 10:30 pm with two drenched teen boys. We'd just come from a World Cup match and we wanted to eat and watch the end of the Team USA match. They took fantastic care of us. Service was friendly and kind, world cup atmosphere was great, and the food was fantastic! I had the best Reuben I've had west of the Mississippi, and the Alfredo was also excellent. I gave four stars only because one kid said his burger was dry. This place is a gem.”

I asked her for her recommendation. She suggested the bourbon glaze burger. The burger was juicy flavorful and well seasoned. The server was available but not pushy. The manager also checked to be sure things were satisfactory. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely return. If i were to make one suggestion, it would to not put all the garnish on the bottom bun.”

I sat down in the coffee shop area while i waited on my coffee order and to my surprise NO ONE took the time to come and say hello or try to get to know me like most people in some churches do. “I have visited Lucky Wok twice since my first review...once for take-out and once for dine in. The food has been delicious every time, still 5 stars. The service is still poor. Don't get me wrong, the employees are super nice and try, but the overall service is poor and without flow. Both times that we have dined in our orders have came out separately. One person's meal is brought out and the next person's dish comes out 5-10 minutes later. I find it rude to eat when others are still waiting to receive their food but I also do not like to eat cold food because I waited. This really needs to be addressed by management.

I would still recommend the food, but maybe take-out is the preferred method?”

“80th Street location We usually go to the one on 151st but saw a review in a group and this one was so cute decided to try it. We went on Monday, had such an amazing dinner that we went back tonight (Tuesday). Our servers both nights were beyond friendly and knowledgeable. I forgot Mondays server name but tonight was Marcos and he was the absolute best! I had the tortilla soup both nights and I just want a gallon of it, the best I have ever had. The toppings added to it overall, and the fresh avocado was so tasty. Really, get it, you won't be the same after. Is getting it 3 days in a row excessive? Hmmmm Taco Tuesday tacos $1 each, ground beef or chicken. The ground beef is well seasoned, and delicious. The avocado salsa is another must try. This is a must and my new favorite place.”

“I live in Gladstone, Missouri but was shopping on Facebook marketplace and found several items that I wanted to buy from this couple who live in Olathe, Kansas. Quite a long drive for me from Gladstone, Missouri. Especially when there's hardly any way to go across town right now without having to be stuck in traffic because of road construction. What a relief to meet this nice lady with all these cool things for me to buy for gifts mostly and we so enjoyed talking a bit. I bought her an iced tea and she said it was very good. I hadn't eaten and so I got the little egg bite omelets or whatever they are and they were absolutely delicious. Or maybe I was just all that hungry and I also got some kind of a fruity smoothie drink.
I really enjoyed talking to the cashier who is getting ready to leave the store when she happened to mention to somebody that she was living in Lawrence and going to the University of Kansas where she's finishing up her freshman year majoring in journalism and political science at the William Allen White School of Journalism there. She was she's a a end of her freshman year Scooter's Coffeehouse way out off K-10 highway in Lenexa, KS.”

“Visited for lunch with a group of 5. I ordered the combo chicken and beef kabob with rice and side salad. Free appetizers of nann and baba ghanoush were provided and that was the best baba ghanoush I have had. The kebabs were exceptional noting the chicken was perfect. Plus one has to try the green chutney. Top notch food. It was a bit pricey but sometimes you just have to indulge. They did have specials on sandwiches that were very reasonably priced. Everyone in my group really liked the food. Also very good service.”

My coworker and I visited this place yesterday and it made our day. The gentleman behind the counter was happy, personable, and just put a smile on everyone's face. I heard him call his regulars by their names. I heard him ask each person how their day was and it was said with genuine affection. He laughed, he smiled, and his good nature was contagious among everyone who he encountered. There aren't many places that have that kind of atmosphere anymore and to go into a business when you're on lunch and you are greeted with that kind of vibe, is rare.
