“Sylas & Maddys has always been my favorite go to for Ice Cream! They have the best homemade ice cream in Kansas! The service is always friendly and polite. The Ice Cream is out of this world! Their cones are also homemade and very tasty. They like to rotate their flavors and are always coming up with new flavors. The atmosphere is homie and you always feel welcome. I just love this place. I’ve never had a bad experience here. They’ve also won plenty of awards. If you’re into Ice Cream, you need to try it. You’ll love it. ❤️”

“This was an important dinner, my son who is 26, had surgery(had his tonsils removed) a couple days ago, and The recovery is described as one of the worst, and it feels like shards of glass in your throat.he has to eat soft food and he had Choices all over the Kansas City metro area. He chose Joe’s, Joe’s mac & cheese to be exact! We live on the Missouri side (Gladstone). So I decided to stop by this evening, and not only get a quart of mac & cheese for him, I grabbed dinner for myself (z-man w/ fries, ribs w/ red beans and rice, Mac and cheese) which I was reluctant to do, due to me having to drive 35 minutes home and I was worried that it was going to be Soggy and cold, Well, much to my surprise, the food was packed perfectly, my food was still hot, and my fries were still crispy! Thank you Joe’s in Leawood you did amazing! I will probably be back in the next couple of days to purchase more Joes mac & cheese! BTW this son of mine recommends Joes to everyone!! “I adore this tea shop. I heard about it from a friend at work and have been going semi-regularly ever since. The lattes never disappoint and the tea selection is fantastic. The owner is so nice and every drink feels and tastes like it’s made with love. I cannot recommend this place enough. She sells loose leaf tea and isn’t stingy with her latte recipes. I have started making myself my own lavender dream lattes every night before bed to help me sleep and it’s worked wonders. Now that I have a few staples I can make at home, I can branch out and try new things when I go to the shop. Please do yourself a favor and check this place out! ❤️”

We went on Monday, had such an amazing dinner that we went back tonight (Tuesday). Our servers both nights were beyond friendly and knowledgeable. I forgot Mondays server name but tonight was Marcos and he was the absolute best! I had the tortilla soup both nights and I just want a gallon of it, the best I have ever had. The toppings added to it overall, and the fresh avocado was so tasty. Really, get it, you won't be the same after. Is getting it 3 days in a row excessive? Hmmmm Taco Tuesday tacos $1 each, ground beef or chicken. The ground beef is well seasoned, and delicious. The avocado salsa is another must try. This is a must and my new favorite place.”

“This location is nearly new and very nice. It has an open modern feel, yet cozy and comfortable. The endless salad and breadsticks were delicious and nearly identical to what they served 25-30 years ago. The portions were good and the food was mostly good as well. My chicken fettuccine Alfredo was mostly dry pasta. Others in my party ordered more sauce for their spaghetti and scampi. My 13 month old enjoyed the soft pasta that didn’t have sauce.”

“My favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in Olathe. I have had an assortment of dishes here, and they were all delicious. Fajitas, Kansas Burrito, Carne Asada plate. The Chips and Dip is good, you can sometimes find a coupon for a free Queso Dip in one of the Valpak or other local flyers. There are only 2 draw backs when coming here. 1st, they are always very busy. Im not a big fan of crowds or being seated back to back against the next table and they try to pack those tables in there like sardines to service the most customers they can. 2nd is that the staff is not always friendly or even helpful when you have questions about a dish. But the food has always been excellent. Even on to go orders.”

The quality, portions, freshness, speed of food of Jasmine Pavillon is normally A+++ plus. It’s one of my families favorites when we are craving delicious Chinese food here in Johnson County. Well the kids did not like the orange chicken this time, everything else was fantastic! However I was not trying to go back to the restaurant and complain and be that person. Later in the evening I received a request in my email box asking “How did we do?”basically a survey about my experience and I gave an honest review. The next day I get a message from the company and wow I can’t tell you how blown away I was by the customer service! Whoever was messaging me apologize completely took into account what my issues were. Let me know that this was not something that they want to happen again they made me feel like they really care that I’m a customer I know this is just a restaurant to everyone else. However they really made me feel like the money and my opinion mattered. Not once did they blame give excuses or make me feel like it was probably just my issue. They really wanted me to know that their complete goal is customer satisfaction and that I know the quality of their food is important to them. I cannot believe how personable this experience was. I’ve been going here for a couple years and I can 100% say I will be there #1 fan for going back! I normally don’t take the time to write good reviews unless it really is worth it and I feel like this had to be had to be said. Any company that takes the time to actually review and respond to the customers is very rare these days. I think what it was amazing was the survey was private it wasn’t going to be on social media or anything so there really was no need for the company to reach out to me and only to just take the feedback given. Places like this are very rare and they should be acknowledged. I truly appreciate not feeling like a number like everywhere else. Jasmine Pavilion showed me the quality of their food and their customers are truly very important to them. Any business especially one that serves food, that takes the time to resolve, correct or even acknowledge customers experience even if it was initially negative and turn it around to make my experience happy is so valuable . They have a lot of dishes on there that other places only have on their premium menus. There are a lot of great vegetarian options, more so than most places, and they will customize things.

“I originally coordinated what I thought would be a post-8th grade graduation dinner for around 50 people. By the time graduation arrived, that number had grown to 150+ middle schoolers, parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends — all arriving at the exact same time, excited, hungry, thirsty, emotional, and full of energy after promoting to high school.
From the beginning, I had the pleasure of working with Savannah, the manager at this Austin’s location. As the RSVP count kept climbing week after week, I honestly started to panic. What started as a small Facebook invite between a few families quickly grew as more friends heard about it and wanted to celebrate together. Amazing for the kids and families — terrifying for the person trying to coordinate it!
Every time I called Savannah with another increase in numbers, she stayed calm, positive, and reassuring. While I was stressing over 50 becoming 135+, she simply said:

And they absolutely did.
Savannah and the entire Austin’s team completely exceeded every expectation. They coordinated a custom menu, staffed extra servers, cooks, bartenders, managers, and bussers, prepared extra food, opened additional seating areas, brought in more chairs on the fly, helped with decorations and desserts, and handled what honestly could have been complete chaos with professionalism and grace.
When we arrived and clearly exceeded our expected numbers, Savannah never flinched. She simply said:

“We’ll figure it out.”

And they did.
The food came out in an incredibly reasonable amount of time considering over 150 people ordered at once. Drinks were constantly flowing for the adults, kids always had refills, and somehow the entire staff remained friendly, patient, and composed the entire night.
What impressed me most wasn’t just the logistics — it was how welcome they made us feel. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, encouraging, complimentary of the kids, and genuinely happy to host us. Even when curveballs came up, they handled everything calmly and professionally.
I lost count of how many parents came up to me during the evening saying:
“Please thank Austin’s — they are absolutely crushing this.”
Huge shoutout to Savannah, who I worked with the most directly, but also to every server, bartender, hostess, busser, cook, and manager involved that night. It truly took a village, and every single person contributed to making this evening unforgettable.
You took what could have been a stressful, overwhelming night and turned it into a meaningful celebration filled with incredible memories for our kids and families. That kind of leadership, teamwork, composure, and hospitality is rare.
Savannah — you are the definition of going above and beyond. Your calm leadership during complete chaos was remarkable, and you deserve every bit of recognition that comes your way. I truly hope Austin’s knows what an incredible leader they have.
Thank you doesn’t feel like enough, but thank you for making such an important milestone so special for all of us.

“Nice, newer hotel, part of the Marriott Bonvoy family, and located right next to the Garmin Soccer Complex. They had a very nice breakfast buffet set up with a great guy running it. Plenty of standard hotel breakfast food but it was perfect for the teams and their families. Staff was very accommodating even with dozens of kids running around. There was a big room off the lobby that the teams used to bring in food and hang out. The only drawback was No swimming pool. If you want peace and quiet, make sure to ask if there is a soccer tournament that week end. Great area with plenty of restaurants and stores.”

Yes, they are also faster than Starbucks, and their drinks are made with low-fat ice cream, and yes, they make drinks with no sugar. My favorite is their Pumpkin Spice Blenders.

I try to spot check the best I can when we get our order, but it’s just impossible. I think the renovation only provides more bodies in the drive though area this causing a lot of confusion.”

Lots of good cocktails and a ton of tequilas to choose from!”
