“Went today for my Husband's birthday and the whole staff was phenomenal! The moment we walked in we were greeted so kindly. We got the Hummus as a appetizer, which came out so fast, and not only was it delicious but the presentation was beautiful. You can definitely tell and taste the love and care that was prepared with the food. For our entrees, I got the Chicken Shawarma and my Husband got the Gyro Plate and the rice and meat was wonderfully seasoned. For dessert we tried the Pistachio Baklava and it was perfection. The entire experience from the moment we walked in was such a treat. We will definitely be back.”

“I think I saw an ad for Yafa Cafe on Facebook. We are always searching for good Mediterranean food, it's hard to find in Kansas City. Seeing Kibbeh on the menu automatically moved them to the top on the list. We really enjoyed our meals and appetizers! The kibbeh was good, the spanakopia was good. All of our meals were good. I really enjoyed the creamy chicken plate. The chicken shawarma was good. Everyone liked the kabobs (chicken and beef). We will definitely be back! The owner and employees were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend!”

“The BEST Asian restaurant in the Northland! The food is absolutely amazing—every dish we’ve tried has been outstanding. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the attention to detail is top-notch. You have to try the crab wontons—they’re a must! We just had the Tokyo crispy chicken, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I haven’t had a single thing here that I didn’t love. Chris, the owner, always greets us with a warm smile, and he and his staff make you feel truly welcome every time. Exceptional food, outstanding service, and such a friendly atmosphere—Saki is hands down our favorite spot!”

“Words can not describe how cool and authentic this place truly is… I’m only 20 years old but in my short life (living in Overland Park) never have I had such a genuinely unique experience at a restaurant in town. I immediately was taken away by how amazing the scenery was when you walk in, everything from the posters on the wall to the memorabilia on the shelf’s has a story behind it. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the place is the bike on the counter along the back side of restaurant. I wish I could tell you the story behind it but if I did it wouldn’t give you a reason to come here, so for that reason, I’ll let you hear it for yourself in person. The story teller behind it all is the owner, Bill. I had a chance to meet Bill briefly after me and my buddies finished up our meals and holy cow I’m glad I was able to meet him. He is an amazingly interesting guy and easy to talk to. If you ever have a chance to say hi to him while you are in there I highly suggest you do so. Even with all these cool stories, there is still something about this place that people need to experience for themselves… the food! The selections are simple yet amazing looking. My experience with the spicy ramen was fantastic and it was presented exactly how I had imagined it. The flavor was as authentic as it gets for ramen (to my knowledge) and the spice level was very reasonable. I also got the squid balls, which I was hesitant at first to eat (because of the name) but trust me they are amazing! With all this being said, that was only my first time being there. We were quickly waited on by a friendly and efficient waitress. There were 6 women working this shift and all were in top form. Even the 2 cooks were women and that was a new thing to see at WH. The food arrived cooked perfectly and exactly as ordered. Everything was tasty and enjoyable. This is one of the best WH in the area with one of the best teams I've seen working. “I normally don't make reviews for such mundane things like a Casey's, but since I started going there I've sort of fell in love with the place and the staff and the food. I work from home, and now go there most days of the week for fillups and honestly just enjoy getting out of the house and seeing a friendly familiar face. Tiffany is amazing, and even hold my baby while I'm filling up my cup and grabbing a slice of the most deliciously convenient pizza. I know this sounds like a straight up advertisement at this point, but it's completely unbiased enthusiasm, you can notice my review status and see that I have a fair mix of good and bad reviews.”

“I know this is a bold statement to make, but this restaurant’s the best Lao restaurant I’ve visited thus far in the U.S., and I’ve been to quite my fair share of them in the U.S. in these past seven years. The workers and owner here at Khop jai der noodles are very friendly and the larb nam tok siin, thum khao poon, nam khao, khua mii, Lao beef jerky, Lao sausage, Lao milk tea, red summer drink, and green summer drink are the bomb! I love that all the dishes I ordered are as authentic as how my Lao friends/family and I’d make it, have reasonable prices, and have reasonable portion sizes. A lot of Asian restaurants in the U.S. are all over the place with their spice levels, but this restaurant doesn’t play, and their “hot”/second most spiciest level, was pretty spicy for someone who can tolerate a lot of spice. It’s nice that I was made clear of this as I was ordering. Their wait times are also reasonable. I ordered a lot, not to mention that they were also taking other in-person and over-the-phone orders, but I got all my dishes in less than 30 minutes. I had a fun time talking with Auntie Mimi, the owner, and Uncle Guy, the co-owner, after my meal. Uncle Guy even offered to help me box my food and take my food to my car, but I didn’t take up his offer since I didn’t want to get in the way of other orders/customers. Lastly, I wanted to note that Auntie Mimi was very courteous on the phone when I called two days before my visit to confirm their hours. Restaurants like this one, one that offers authentic Lao dishes and isn’t afraid to label itself and its menu as Lao, are the ones I wish to succeed the most and wish there were more of in places outside of Laos. I was smiling from ear to ear seeing all kinds of customers coming in, ordering the Lao-style of dishes, and seemingly pleased with their orders. This restaurant’s only been open 16 months at the time of my visit, and I hope that it gets all the love and attention it deserves very soon! I certainly can’t wait to check it out again the next time I’m in the area and wouldn’t even mind driving from my home, three and a half hours away, just to eat here!”

“Nice place, good food, and great service but the light fun atmosphere just tanked when the manager walked by. Not what you want to see on a Saturday night at this price point! It was actually awkward to experience the way the manager treated the employees. He literally yelled across the room at the bartender for no identifiable reason. Sometimes it’s watching the way someone treats others that ruins a nice time more than anything. It really is a nice place with good food and great service hopefully this part of the place can change. Appears mine isn’t the first review that involves the manager so hopefully they will fix this issue.”

First of all, I have had NOTHING but kind service from the staff. Always greeted with a smile and asked about how the food tastes. They are a 100% customer-first restaurant.
Next, the food. Oh WOW the food. Their wings are truly excellent, but for me, the chicken tenders really steal the show. The tender sizes (and wing sizes) are ample, and they are clearly made and cooked fresh to order. They might be the best tenders I've ever had.
Finally, they don't skimp on the details. I ordered seven tenders and received FOUR sauces at no cost. A true Midwestern dream. You can order additional sauces for a buck or less each, but they know how important it is to their quality to give free sauces based on the order. I hope they never change that. They also packaged everything nicely and intentionally for transport. Seems small, but it matters.
If there was any one thing I wish was available, it would be the ability to choose sauces other than the Yo Sauce, Ranch or BBQ (I really love that Parm Garlic and Hot sauce). That said, the Yo Sauce is still amazing.

I really don't have any bad things to say about their food or their service. We are a 5 minute walk from this place, and it's definitely become a fantastic problem! More Chicken!!!”

“Pros: Most of the dishes are amazing. Try the spicy pork bun bowl, the beef pho and the watermelon boba tea. Cons: They need to clean up the service. The tables are usually dirty, the condiment bottles don't look like they've ever been cleaned and are absolutely disgusting and dirty and sticky to touch. The service is usually ok to poor, however in fairness Asian restaurants generally don't make good service a priority, and they don't try to break that mold here.”

Also had the guacamole, which was just perfect..the espinaca was very good..but needs more of the spinach....please! Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, it was crowded and waited a mere 15 minutes for a table..not bad on a Saturday nite..if you haven't tried this unique little restaurant, DO SO...yes, it's LOUD..yes, it is CROWDED..and yes..you might sit next to someone you don't know...WHY...? Because several different generations have been dining her for over 40+ years, they know good food, the servers recognize you and treat you well, and the owners are top notch, friendly, and care about your visit. We were referred to KMachos and OMG there is NOTHING i can say to complain! From the exquisite service we got from the server, he was AMAZING and funny and friendly! wish we would of got his name! I had the carne asada steak with beans and rice and tortillas and it all was cooked to PERFECTION. The steak was perfect, juicy seasoned to perfection. It hit all the spots my craving had! The raspberry Margarita OMG. It was phenomenal. My colleague had the chimichangas and LOVED IT. If i could give this place a 10,000 outta 10! Do not sleep on this place. It's perfection....”

You have to try the crab wontons—they’re a must! We just had the Tokyo crispy chicken, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I haven’t had a single thing here that I didn’t love. Chris, the owner, always greets us with a warm smile, and he and his staff make you feel truly welcome every time. Exceptional food, outstanding service, and such a friendly atmosphere—Saki is hands down our favorite spot!”

“Cozy and friendly place where you can watch sports and enjoy crispy but moist chicken. All the food we ordered was very tasty. Note the Cheese Ramen does have a little kick to it, but still yummy. We both got the cheeseburger and it was delicious and a great recommendation. Asked to speak with a manager wanted to let them know about the great service and food we received. Katie was also the manager. Overall great experience will be back.”
