“Our favorite place to go to for authentic Mexican tacos and authentic Salvadorean pupusas. Everything is super flavorful, always want more but can’t fit it anywhere else! We’ve tried other Salvadorean places that have opened recently and none compare to this one.”

“These tamales are some of the best I've ever had - and I've had them in all three of the Americas. Don't be surprised if they run out on Saturdays because I see people carrying them out by the sackfux and boxes. They sell them by the dozen. Carnitas too. All the food is good. Yes I've had everything on the menu. The Pupusas are authentic El Salvador. Great value for the price. Quintessential hole in the wall with six booths. There is a park behind it so we usually get our food and go over there to the farmers market or just take a walk. This is truly mom and pop so if you have a big order, do them a favor and call ahead. And do the rest of us a favor by calling ahead because if you take everything they have made for the day then they won't have any left for me!”

“First, we love all the Strip's locations! We have been to this location twice now and not disappointed yet. We eat gluten free due to Celiac Disease and are thankful we have options to indulge in occasionally when I don't have to cook.Dietary restrictions: Love that they offer many gluten free options! “Have you been to this bakery?! It is world-renowned, and right in our own backyards! What a treat for us. I remember buying these breads and having them shipped to us, when we lived in San Diego. Now I can just stop by, taste their samples, and buy one fresh. Look at the stuffed layers, wrapped inside delicate, thin pastry. You will be a favored guest if you show up to a party with one of these contributions. Or a successful hostess if you place one of these awe-invoking dishes on the table. Plan to stop by and watch the bakers in process. It is fascinating to watch them work their magic!”

I've only had a drink issue once, and they were eager to offer a free drink with a size upgrade. The staff are attentive and informative, and it's a convenient place to get a hot, healthy, and fairly inexpensive meal, plus a lot of extras like snacks, beverages, and grab-n-go items. Maybe the hospital cafeteria wouldn't normally be your first choice... and sure, it's not Michelin dining, but this cafeteria definitely satisfies. And they have good drip coffee, which is a godsend when you stay overnight.For lunch and dinner, there was a pizza station and a grill station (think chicken strips, burgers, fries) daily, as well as rotating stations with international cuisine (I had chicken shawarma in a pita with wide selection of quite fresh toppings you'd expect like olives, tzatziki, veggies) and a somewhat less international menu (for example, chicken piccata, asparagus, potatoes au gratin, cobbler, and other items).There's a very fresh salad bar with a variety of tasty dressings that depart refreshingly from the typical heavy stuff like ranch. I also saw a made-to-order salad station but did not get a chance to try it.In the morning, there's basically everything you could expect. Good hot bar with quality scrambled eggs, poultry based bacon and sausage, potatoes/hash browns, and biscuits with good gravy. I thought I saw French toast sticks, a breakfast burrito option, and perhaps pancakes at some point, but didn't get to try those. Also a good yogurt bar with fresh fruit and dry toppings. And lots of other things to round it out: cereals, packaged muffins, bagels and breads, fruit, and so on. You can also pick up packaged sandwiches and healthier snack options from a grab and go case any time they're open.Finally, there's big row of fridges with bottled beverages such as soda, water, Gatorade, tea, energy drinks, and so on. Fountain drinks available, but I didn't take the time to note what was offered. And there's a station with some packaged snacks, again on the healthier side, such as granola bars, sun chips, nuts, trail mix, etc. There's also a wide assortment of condiments, either before you pay (peanut butter, butter, jam) or after the register (ketchup, mustard, BBQ, hot sauce, and lots more).You have to weigh most of the self serve foods on the scale at the checkstand, but before you check out, pay attention to price tags to see which things are priced by the item, and just be ready to show those to the cashier. The signs near the cashier say "use both sides to pay", but there's only a credit card machine on one side of each register, so look ahead to see where you need to be.Vegetarian options: All the hot food stations had options that appeared to be vegetarian. Always saw at least 3 hot vegetable options, plus other non meat items that vary with the daily menu such as falafel, cilantro rice, seasoned black beans, fries, potatoes au gratin, couscous, Mediterranean quinoa salad, chips & salsa, and cheese pizza. Salad bar is nice and fresh, good quality.Dietary restrictions: I saw a good amount and variety of vegetarian options, and there was a variety of protein choices to suit different religious observations. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable if you need guidance.Parking: Big hospital, plenty of uncovered parking, and some covered parking. All free as best I can tell. But you're probably eating here because you're already at the hospital anyway.Kid-friendliness: It's self service, so you'll need to help younger kids serve themselves, but they shouldn't have trouble finding something they'll agree to eat.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a hospital so they pretty much have it figured out. The whole campus has wide doorways, automated door openers, elevators, gently sloped ramps, handrails, and the like.”

“Food for price is great. Fantastic selection. There are special times when they put out more options like crab legs and boiled shrimp on Sundays for more money. Sundays draw huge Latino crowds. This place gets packed and it should. The all female family wait staff can put most restaurants to shame in the city. They work hard and take good care of you. If you are craving Chinese skip the take out restaurants and try here. You will keep coming back.Don’t be fooled by the broken down fountain. It doesn’t matter.”

“Pretty satisfied! I had never had Jack in the Box, and had to do a quick stop through the drive-thru. The burger and fries were awesome, as were the tiny tacos! I only gave 4 stars because they only offered avocado lime sauce or hot sauce for the tacos and no salsa or picante; also because I asked for a large water, hoping just for a fountain water, and was charged for a "Vitamin Water" 2 dollars, and it was still in a fountain cup with almost no ice ? I feel like it was still a fountain water.”

“No issues here. Just your standard McDonalds with standard service. But they do normally take a while to make chicken nuggets but that’s not unusual for a McDonalds.”

“Will definitely be back again. I have not been here since I was young and my talked me into trying it now. I am impressed to say the least. I had the special which was 1/2 smoked chicken and two sides. I chose potatoe salad and bbq beans. The potatoe salad was great. I was not a fan of the beans. They were ok but not what I was expecting. I will have to say the smoked chicken though was probably the best I have had in a very long time. The seasoning was perfect. I did not even add BBQ sauce. It was so flavorful. I also tried my sons smoked Mac and Cheese and it was delicious. Cant wait to try other menu items.”

“Passing through KC on a multi-state road trip, looked up best BBQ spots and Q39 was on multiple lists. Lunch did not disappoint. Wife and I had the Judges platers. Chicken, pork, and sausage for her. Brisket, ribs, and sausage for me. All of the meats were amazing.Our server, Maddie M., was very friendly and helpful in choosing options. Normally we enjoy having a slower paced meal but since we're traveling it was nice that we were in and out in under an hour. Highly recommend!”

The only thing to make it better was the people working. we had a chance to meet the owner and his mother and everyone was so welcoming and charming. “In town for the weekend and Q39 was highly recommended as a top barbecue spot to try. When we arrived their were tons of people outside and standing inside also thank goodness I made a reservation and we were seated quickly. Chad was our very pleasant and attentive server who was very knowledgeable about the menu items. We settled on the pick 2 samplers and let me tell you the food did not disappoint from the brisket to the fall off the bone ribs and yummy cucumber salad I was in food heaven. I highly recommend if you are in Kansas to check this spot out!!”
