“Chicken was delicious as always, first time we had the mac and cheese definitely will go back for that! Was not a fan of the greens, I like extreme flavor of my greens, but Tanner brought out some vinegar something that helped give it a bit more of a bite! Okra is always my favorite! Even if I order nothing else from Gus's I will always order the okra. Yes it's high-priced but everything is high-priced anymore, no matter where you go. Thanks again Tanner we will definitely be back if not for the great service, for the fried okra, chicken and now the mac and cheese!“

“The place was BUSY however the wait was less than 15 minutes. Prompt service and the Key Lime Shrimp and chicken over rice was delicious. I waited to order the onion rings until 10 minutes before we were ready to leave so I could share with family members at home. My friends said weekends are always crowded here but the food is worth the wait.“

“I have really looked forward to going to this restaurant and have followed them on social media for quite some time. It's a little out of the ways for us so we don't normally go to this area for anything but decided to give it a shot today. The place was not busy and we were informed that it's best to have a reservation even though there was no wait. We were seated by the bar area and waited while watching other guys get served and made eye contact with the bartenders several times who were assisting other guests that arrived after us only to be ignored. The experience was extremely disappointing and we didn't stay to order as no one came to offer coffee or water let alone order breakfast. Hopefully you have a better experience but we will not be back.“

“There may be some Kentucky restaurant and one thats Louisiana fast that serves chicken that better step up thier game with Gus's around. Stephanie the waitress we had was awesome. Drinks were always full.“

“My family and I came in to try Jumpin Catfish for the first time for my mom and I’s birthday. We were given a nice, quiet table in the back. Chris (sp?)was our server and she was absolutely wonderful! We were immediately brought out hot, fresh hush puppies followed by navy beans and coleslaw. This was all included with our meals! Two of us ordered AYCE Crab legs, which were accompanied by mashed potatoes and an endless supply of hot melted butter that was kept warm at the table. Another of our group got the AYCE catfish and loved it! There was also fried chicken and peel and eat shrimp which were all thoroughly enjoyed. The service was phenomenal and we were even given cobbler to take home for our birthdays but Chris went above and beyond and gave us a candle to blow out. Overall, the whole staff was AMAZING. They came to our aid this evening and I will be ensuring to pass that onto the owner. What a great experience, we will be life long customers.“

The peach vinaigrette salad dressing ⭐️! Everything in the boil including the crab legs flavortastic🤩! The service was outstanding! Everyone who brought something to our table and the waitress, best customer service! We had one of the later reservations and you all never ran out! Cobbler was gone but that lemon bar substitute was delicious! 🍋 We will be back!“
