“So I came in with my partner and their parents. We ended up with an incredible spread of food for all of us! My mother in law needs high protein, my father in law doesn’t like extreme spice, and I am gluten free and I just got out my wisdom teeth out recently so I can’t do heavy spice and warm temperatured food. I also need my food to be easy to chew with that.

I ended up with the gluten free egg drop soup, and then Min came over and talked about how they could modify a menu item from their authentic Chinese menu. I then received a menu item so good I’m jealous that I didn’t cook it. It was silken tofu with some sort of soft pork, I believe it was pork belly. It was gluten free, and savory and full of not spicy flavor. I will be getting this every time hands down.

My family got the general tso’s, orange chicken, and Mongolian shrimp and scallops, as well as pan fried dumplings. They loved their meals as well.

Moral of the story- I have come here a lot and it only gets better each time!“

“Had an amazing dinner at Firebirds with my dad, brother, and girlfriend. The steak wasn’t cooked right, but honestly the staff made it worth it. Our waiter Daniel was really engaged and just made the whole thing better. When we needed the manager Dallas, she had our meals remade and took care of us. Both of them were just genuinely nice people. Definitely recommend Firebirds.“

“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

“My husband and I were celebrating our 19 year anniversary and I was looking for a place to enjoy a meal outside of the ordinary. I made reservations on line with Wandering Vine very easily. We arrived not only to a beautiful outside Castle but a meaningful inside to match our celebration. The owner walked us to the table, talked a-little bit about the menu and we were seated. From that point on - it was nothing short of fabulous! The server was knowledgeable and welcoming, and provided direction on the brunch menu. We started with a mimosa, followed by fresh coffee and cream, and continued with deviled eggs with caviar! I had the Dutch baby pancakes in a nice hot skillet from the oven with whipped cream and fruit compote, and a nice side of bacon. My husband had the breakfast sandwich which was truly not your normal sandwich. The selection of food, drinks, and warm environment were much more than expected. I highly recommend this place for any special occasion where the wow factor is needed. Bravo to the Chef and staff.“

“Service was ok. We ordered 3 appetizers, the first one came out then it took about 20 minutes for the other 2. When we were done, we had to ask for our table to be cleared in between courses. When I asked for lemons, a busser told me “where is your server?” I was disappointed by that statement considering I'm a paying customer and didn't know where the server was and that's why I asked him.“

“Had an amazing experience here after dinner for a late night drink! We really enjoyed the service and the calm atmosphere - not to mention the amazing view. Overall it was cozy, but also big enough so not noisy at all, good vibes music playing and also very family friendly. There’s a space on the side for families to play games.

We ordered two cocktails, one Passion Punch (rum based) and one Black Honey (gin based). Both were really good, and I especially liked the passion punch - it was sweet, smoky, and had a bit of spice.

Our server was also very nice, he shared amusing stories of his shift during the World Cup events - and was very attentive with his services. I would come back to visit this bar next time I’m in town.“

“Easy 5 stars for Shake Shack in Leawood. The entire restaurant was extremely clean, the service was fast and friendly, and the food came out fresh and hot almost immediately.

I ordered the SmokeShack burger and it was absolutely phenomenal. The burger was hot, juicy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The cherry peppers completely take it to another level and honestly make it the best burger on the menu. You can tell everything was made fresh and with attention to quality.

The cheese fries deserve their own shoutout too — absolutely incredible. Perfectly crispy fries loaded with rich, creamy cheese sauce.

This was hands down one of the best fast casual burger experiences I’ve had in a long time. Shake Shack Leawood definitely lives up to the hype.“
