“Ranked #1 new restaurant in KC meant I had to try it and they did not disappoint. The menu rotates seasonally and is full of shareable plates that give you a taste of a world beyond KC. From the Spring menu, the four of us tried the Chips and Lamb Dip (very tasty and great start to the meal), Pav Bhaji (could make this my go-to comfort food), Pork Chop (the most flavor I’ve ever experienced), and Roasted Chicken (a classic executed perfectly, shout out to those pickles) with a variety of cocktails. Every plate and every sip was cohesive. We walked away full. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was cozy, dimly lit, natural decor, super clean, and provided an escape from the outside. Restrooms were easily accessible and clean. We were fortunate to meet the owner and head chef - she is incredible! Can’t wait to come back!“

“Food was great! Prices were reasonable especially for the portion. The volcano shrimp however was a bit pricey for how much actually came. Overall would come here again. Food was super hot and fresh and flavorful! They also have a secret menu that comes on a piece of paper! I’d ask about that too ᵕ̈ more food options!“

“Met here following a funeral that brought family together. We were able to relax and visit without being rushed. Theresa was tremendously attentive and took great care of us. The only disappointment is that you were out of the one item I picked Firebirds for. The tomahawk pork chop.?“

“My husband and I came to Wandering Vine at the Castle for our anniversary and we enjoyed every minute of dining at this beautiful establishment. The host and our waitress were so attentive and polite, they spoke with a smile and the vibe was so inviting. We loved the food! Carla (the owner) gave my husband and I advise on how to see "eye to eye" for a lasting marriage and it gave us a great laugh. Carla is a delight and has the sweetest personality. Thank you Wandering Vine for providing such a lovely evening and thank you for the beautiful rose ❤️“

“Took my mom for a little snack. She had the CosNO which she loved. We shared the lamb meatballs, Burrata and the Greek salad. A REAL Greek salad. The chefs at Enzo know what they are doing. 10/10 for us!“

“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

“Kyle owns this great KC gem. It’s a clean and friendly atmosphere in the heart of KC. Beer, whiskey, wine, no cocktails. Kyle is a beer lover but won’t steer you wrong with you spirit selections! I had a great time Chatting with him and trying Penelope and Barrel Craft bourbons!“

“Really enjoyed my visit here. Been meaning to make it out here for a while. Cocktail bar with books for reading and sale, lots of board games, some comfy couches. Solid mocktail list. Cocktails are in the $13-15 range, mocktails are $10-12. Wines by the glass or bottle also available, as well as weekly specials, happy hour (including 10% off a book purchase during HH!), coffees, and teas. Great place to hang out in the crossroads. No food available.“

“AMAZING. Not my first time, but my first review. Repeat behavior should be recognized and that's what I am doing. I have higher standards, than “probably” individuals with high standards - and they have relatively met them and or exceeded them when: • specifically taking care of individuals needs and or “Special Occasions” • been abundant with their care for product & customer • a great place that although they may be “busy”, somehow the peace & atmospherics, do not disturb quality time. High class.“

“Beautiful overlook of KC and really well decorated venue. We were here for a wedding, most of the food was good, avoid the chicken though. Service is wanting here however, very difficult to get served basic things and they seemed to be lacking a bunch at the bar. Lemons, limes and most drinks weren't well stocked.“

“Was really good! Some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Came in during Sunday happy hour after 4 and was told all cocktails are $2 off, however got charged full price for one of hours. Bartender was too busy to ask about it after we got the itemized receipt. Overall, delicious. Just wish we would have gotten the full special.“

“Incredible cocktail bar! The Ube drink was my favorite. Lots of very luxurious touches, like shaved ice, boba and steam infusion.
We got seats at the bar for three people right away around 8pm on Saturday, although they do offer reservations.“

“Went for a birthday dinner and had such a good experience. The waitress knew the menu and the drinks. She had good recommendations. As a pasta lover I went with the 3 pasta entree which is chiefs choice which was really good and a good bang for your dollar. We shared a bottle of wine and had a great time. Will be going back.“

“My wife and I were fortunate to dine for the first time at Plate as guest of a 40 person wedding rehearsal group. The quality of food, cocktails and service was excellent. Management's training of staff was obvious. Staff was attentive and professional. Observation......the appearance of the serving and management surpassed many of the customers. I can't believe what people will wear to an elegant dining experience. I highly recommend Plate.“

“Nice, clean location, service was fast and the burgers were prepared as ordered. We have the shack burger with avocado and bacon which was delicious. The bacon was crispy, the burger was cooked perfectly and wrapped in a handy paper so you don't get your have too messy.“

“Our first time here, but definitely not our last, was last night for my 63rd birthday. What a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly and the education on wine and its history was sublime. We are very fortunate to have Vintage ‘78 Wine Bar within driving distance and we hope to support the excellent staff for many years to come!“
