“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

“Ragazza is my favorite restaurant. We’ve been several times. Tonight we had Liz as a server and Channing helped out as well. Both of them were awesome. The food.. as always was awesome. Drinks superb. If you haven’t tried Ragazza you should. The Eggplant parm is my favorite but everything is honestly delicious.“

“Was really good! Some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Came in during Sunday happy hour after 4 and was told all cocktails are $2 off, however got charged full price for one of hours. Bartender was too busy to ask about it after we got the itemized receipt. Overall, delicious. Just wish we would have gotten the full special.“

He had the steak and lobster and I tried the blak lentil bolognese with strawberry spinach salad. So good with Chianti and he had Cliquot champagne. “It was fun to come up and play some games with the family. The giant Jenga was a hit along with corn hole. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the area, though, as there were dirty dishes and food trash just sitting around everywhere. The water pitcher was apriciated, though.“

The service was outstanding- very attentive but not intrusive; timely but not rushed. The food was good but not quite the dining experience we expected for the prices. The filet was good and grilled to order, your badic filet. The scallops were fairly small for a $64 entree; the risotto, however was very good and the portion size was appropriate. We had the brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes for sides and were disappointed with both. The brussel sprouts were big and tough; the au gratin potatoes were heavy and oily.“
