“Beautiful bar/cafe on the bottom floor of the Crossroads Hotel. Pool table and shuffleboard, open industrial design. Lounge tables, bar seating, and plenty of outlets to plug into. A bit pricey for what it is, but gorgeous ambiance. Wood-fired pizzas open until late night.“

“Room 39 was the perfect spot for my only night in Kansas City. I made the mistake of deciding to go vegetarian, right before I visited a city famous for its bbq meat! So glad I found this gem of a restaurant. I had a perfect table by the window, with the radiator under the table making it cozy and toasty. The cocktails and dishes were fantastic - two Boulevardiers, a Brussels sprout soup, gnocchi with goat cheese, and the flourless chocolate cake with Earl Grey tea. My server Tory was terrific. I can’t recommend it highly enough.“

“We traveled from South Carolina to visit family and they took us to Brewer's Kitchen. The food was exceptional. Each burger option is unique, fresh cut fries seasoned just right. The fact that everything is locally sourced is a plus in my book. The staff was friendly and caring. Give Brewer's Kitchen a try and you'll go back.“

“Came here for the first time for date night and will be back again! We ordered half the menu and were hugely impressed by everything we received. Cocktails are ice cold & dangerously tasty. The flavors & quality of the food is unmatched, from the salads to the bolognese and flank steak. We highly recommend the Korean empanadas! We enjoyed the modern yet relaxed atmosphere & music. It was refreshing to be somewhere where nothing felt rushed. This is a place to sit, relax and enjoy your company, take your time eating, drinking and enjoying the space. We are already recommending this hidden gem to friends and look forward to our next visit.“

Chefs kiss. We went out on a whim and split The F.R.Y as well (not to be confused with fry, you gotta spell it out - I only know because we were corrected lol) and that was pretty good too! Different, but good! The young man who took our order was friendly, and the order was ready, hot and fresh in about 15 minutes - keep in mind it was cold out, so nobody was really there, and the seating is outdoor only, which don’t get me wrong, didn’t stop us from going, but definitely looks like it would be a total vibe in the nicer weather. I had a great first impression for sure, and definitely will be returning.“

“Great little bar tucked away in Platte Woods. One of the last to allow smoking! The food is amazing, and very large portions. The drinks are great and they have a wide variety to choose from! Open 7 days a week with specials every day! The atmosphere is like a "Cheers" bar, go check them out!“

“My wife and I stopped in for the first time in a few years. We were seated after a bit of a wait. It is after all a Friday night in a shopping district. Our server was bright and cheery. She had a warming smile and happy persona. we placed our drink order. Shortly thereafter our food order was taken. I ordered a flat iron steak and a baker. My wife ordered soup and salad. Our dinner was served fairly quickly. Unfortunately my steak was quite a bit overcooked, so I requested one that wasn't over done. When the replacement steak was delivered, it was a bit overdone as well. I was hungry so I kept it. The manager came by to talk to us. I've spent time in a kitchen or two and I understand a dinner rush. The manager stopped at our table and wanted to assure us that this was not acceptable. She made things right, but wasn't needed or expected. I felt bad for our server because she probably feared she wasn't going to get tipped for a fairly big check. She was pretty wrong. I tipped correctly and arguably better than normal. Our return visit ended up being a great experience. We met a couple of wonderful human beings. Had some pretty good food. And, of course, my wife and I got to connect.“
