They have fun and easy going servers, the food is terrific and diverse enough to please a large group of diners, and it’s all in a really nice environment that balances decor and vibe with practicality and ease of business. Take advantage of their happy hour when you can those deals are great, you won’t generally eat a meal here for under $30, but the price is well worth the taste and quality of your meal.“

I do notice a change in the attitude of the staff since about later 2025.

This may be because of any number of things. Around October 22 or 23 there were two bank robberies,first 1:30pm in Waldo area US bank Gregory Boulevard and Wornall Road-last one at 3:30pm a block away UMB Bank 49th & Main Street.

While the wait staff is excellent in a leisurely lunch, yet highly attentive; the sales staff are aggressive as soon as I am finished with the meal.
Even if I go to purchase a special treat not having a meal, and I want to shop. Also the price of chocolate treats were around $97.00 a pound for liquor chocolate truffles in February 2026!I don’t even look at the truffles anymore ( prices may fluctuate but I have noticed it’s unlikely prices go down).

I feel the sales staff rush customers to pay and leave.“

“My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at The Melting Pot, and the staff was amazing and the service was great! They made our anniversary so special!! I can not thank them enough. The manager surprised us with chocolate covered strawberries, our table decorated with roses, and gave me a rose! Our hostess made us a special two year plate with a delicious raspberry sauce. I can’t recommend this place enough!“

“The Sunday brunch was so satisfying, it is also at a reasonable price. Even though I don't drink the bottomless mimosas are great they have different flavors. My wife ordered a raspberry one and she let me taste it. The fresh baked cookies were delicious.“

Read some reviews around this is run down Indian IMO this is how all restaurants should serve Indian food.

“The food was delicious, but I really wanted to make a point to leave a review about our server. From the very beginning, Tayla was attentive and kind. She made sure to give great descriptions of the food, but the real icing on the cake was how much she went above and beyond. We brought in a cake from the bakery, and the host offered to keep it in the fridge for us. Tayla brought out the cake for us to take pictures and sing happy birthday, and then took it to the back to cut it. The cake was butterfly themed, and she cut out my mom's piece to look like a butterfly. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough, but highly recommend asking for Tayla.“

“My dad raves about this bread. When I visit home, I always stop in to stock up my parent's freezer. Their favorite is the unsliced Italian loaf. The store does not accept credit or debit cards...cash only. The guys who work here are helpful. Parking is a bit limited, but it's a very small shop. It's usually not very crowded. People can shop quickly and get in and out without any problem.“

“The Recovery Juice Literally SAVED ME! I started kickboxing again after a long break. I was fully expecting to be sore and tired the next day, but I stopped at Nekter and saw they had a Recovery option. My first experience with juicing so the taste took an adjustment. It was not bad at all, but you can taste every thing! My body is thanking me that I took the time, no soreness whatsoever! Unbelievable truly! My kids love going to the library at the plaza to play right after getting our treats. $6 cup day is the way to go but they also have a great point system plus a really awesome reading program our oldest is working on where Fifth & Emery reward reading time with free fro yo, Books for Yo! They have games and books for reading in the restaurant too. Such a great localy owned family establishment. We visit for every celebration and always try to make it in for $6 cup days. Gotta love a super delicious and healthy alternative to ice cream that focuses on family 🩷“

“Waldo Pizza awesome. They've been in business about 30 years. They've got a massive selection of toppings. They've got gluten free and vegan options including desserts and appetizers. They added a tap room in the last decade... So many craft beers and imports to choose from plus wine and liquor now. I suggest Waldo Pizza to everyone. Oh yeah, the service is great too. Many employees have been there since day one. Way to go Phil! They've gone corporate but don't let the discourage you!“

“This store is always prepped and ready to deliver on timely food and service. Food comes out quickly for a buffet and they keep the whole serving area neat and attractive. Bonus is that they keep tea servers full and silverware in stock during rushes. Best Pizza Ranch of all I have been to.“

“I was so excited to see they had keto options!! I picked the cauliflower pizza crust with Pepperoni. It was the best keto pizza I have tried. The crust was perfect. My family had the cheese and Pepperoni pizzas with breadsticks. They loved the pizza even my husband who is super picky since he is from New York. For 17.99 you get 2 slices and 2 breadsticks or you can choose a garden salad. Sadly they were out of garden salad so I just ordered the breadsticks and gave them to my kids. I am definitely eating here again!! Picture or my low carb pizza. We do have the gold pass with 2 free meals per day and unlimited drinks every 15 minutes. So we just scanned and took our food.“

It’s that kind broth I especially crave when feeling under the weather. The seating is small but always very clean and parking is easy as they have their own lot.“
