“My husband and I just stayed here to attend the Kansas City Symphony concert featuring Cody Fry. This is a gorgeous hotel in a perfect location to experience everything downtown KC has to offer. The cosmos were fruity and refreshing, the flat bread was flavorful and tasty, the soup was creamy and chock ful of artichokes and chicken, the salmon and crab cake hit the spot and we wrapped it up with a delicous raspberry cannoli dessert cup. Seasons 52 always delivers a memorable experience, Kiara was exceptional!“

“Went in for a birthday dinner on a Wednesday night with a reservation for 2. Arrived at 730pm and was seated immediately. Staff were very friendly. Asked for recommendations on a small menu and was happy with their suggestions. We ordered the broccoli, gyoza, ravioli, swordfish, & lamb. Wanted the focaccia but they had run out.
The wine list was good and reasonably priced for a small plates / finer dining restaurant.
The plates were well paced, allowing us to enjoy each plate on its own. The tables are also very small so anymore than one plate at a time would be a struggle. Portion sizes were actually quite good, and with 5 plates for 2 people it was perfect.
The swordfish was the best dish, honestly the most flavorful thick steak cut, with a delicious sauce and gnocchi accompanying. Could have just had a plate of that each with some sides it was that good!
Was $250 for 2 people with a bottle of wine. Well worth it. Would recommend.“

“This was my first time here!! My boyfriend and I booked the showing on Valentines weekend. Lonnie’s was a fantastic experience. Wow! Lonnie and his band were amazing. The service from Joshua and Kenny made the experience really enjoyable and memorable, too. I cannot wait to take my friends and family here. Lonnie was really kind and interacted with everyone-very genuine and happy! You can tell that he truly enjoys and cares about those who come to watch his shows- and he loves Jazz with all his heart!“

Beautiful atmosphere, and excellent service too. The owner makes a point to visit every table and he seems like a really great guy (and certainly a stellar chef and restauranteur). My favorite thing was probably the chicken wings. Nothing pedestrian about them. I also loved the yuzu sake.“

“Ordered out and the food was very very good. The kitchen didn't get my wife's burger right, they added onions, but the management made it right. Other than that the food was exceptional. I had the smokestack burger and it was very delicious. Make sure you save room for bread pudding too!“

“Room 39 was the perfect spot for my only night in Kansas City. I made the mistake of deciding to go vegetarian, right before I visited a city famous for its bbq meat! So glad I found this gem of a restaurant. I had a perfect table by the window, with the radiator under the table making it cozy and toasty. The cocktails and dishes were fantastic - two Boulevardiers, a Brussels sprout soup, gnocchi with goat cheese, and the flourless chocolate cake with Earl Grey tea. My server Tory was terrific. I can’t recommend it highly enough.“

“We traveled from South Carolina to visit family and they took us to Brewer's Kitchen. The food was exceptional. Each burger option is unique, fresh cut fries seasoned just right. The fact that everything is locally sourced is a plus in my book. The staff was friendly and caring. Give Brewer's Kitchen a try and you'll go back.“

“Took my son here 12/21. We are both drummers and thought this would be a cool experience and Drum Room did not disappoint. He had the Salmon, I got the brick chicken. That's a dish that will stay on your mind. Excellent overall experience. You can tell the kitchen is operated by actual chef's. Bar staff were very friendly. We'll be returning for sure. If you're in downtown KC MO and you're looking for actual great food, I highly recommend.“

“This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and impeccable service. Thier wine list was curated by the gods. However, while the food was all prepared correctly and they provided everything they said they would, the food lacked personality or anything that make the dishes unique to ocean prime. I had the surf n turf, ahi tuna, oysters, and sea bass, but none of the items stood out even though they were cooked perfectly. While the food was good, I cannot recommend spending this kind of money without receiving a fresh, memorable experience.“

“I ordered the buffalo wings yesterday and it was definitely a 10/10. Customer service for both days 10/10- very friendly. The beef short rib was different than what I had expected. They were tender and slightly chewy which is a plus but I was expecting it to be bone in. There wasn’t much flavor 6/10 The cheesy corn reminded me of mash potatoes and corn. 5/10 the baked beans was great 8/10.“

After ordering, the manager talked to us and even offered samples of multiple menu items so we’d know exactly what to order next time. Not a lot of businesses care about each individual customer, so I can’t recommend Wings Cafe enough. Good food and good staff is rare. We’ll definitely be back soon!“
