I worked here. The owner moved me to a new apartment and gave me 100 dollars just because. I still wear my PPT shirt around town and have some pressed pennies. Great food. Great family owners. The most cozy hidden gem in Kansas City!
Great place to eat and drink and enjoy. The staff are wonderful, the food is terrific(chimkins) add a great cocktail and you're in the right place to watch the world go by.
The service is absolutely outstanding. if you can, order some tots! the staff was super friendly and great with recommendations from the moment we went in the door. coming in was an impulsive decision and now we will be there every time we visit the barber across the street

Mae's Tavern is an upscale experience with great food, drinks, friendly faces, and fun social activities most every night. The Small Board was beautifully crafted and delicious, and the Old Fashioned was perfect. The friendly staff and owners are super nice and very welcoming. This local gem has new owners who have invested their hearts and souls into keeping the area lively. It is the perfect "3rd place" and a little cozy hole in the wall. Chloe Rose played music live, which was fantastic. The chicken sandwich was very good, and the service was great. The atmosphere is spot on and very nice overall. The patio is a cool vibe, and it feels like a fantastic neighborhood spot. The fried brusselsprouts with bacon bits, honey, and walnuts were great. The cob wrap was nice with moist chicken, and the burgers are good too.
