“Burgers are good, onion rings were excellent. Last time we went, they were out of onion rings. This time, we called before we went and was told they had onion rings. Twenty minutes later as we were placing our order, we were told they just ran out of onion rings. We left. How do you run out of onion rings? It’s really simple. If you consistently run out, order more. We will not be going back.“

“In August 2021, Hamburger Mary's Kansas City reported that the establishment would require proof of COVID-19 vaccination. I assumed the requirement had been lifted; however, I wanted to be sure I was prepared (I am vaccinated; my friend is not). Not to mention, I work in an academic/healthcare setting where masks & vaccination status are a daily consideration, so it's something still on my mind. Therefore, I sent Hamburger Mary's a very quick question via Facebook. Attached is a photo of the response I received. My question was in no way impolite, so I'm not sure why the business felt the need to say anything other than no. I'm not easily offended, but I also don't appreciate being spoken to in such a snarky manner for what I considered a perfectly reasonable & respectful question. I was really looking forward to visiting (and donating to a worthy cause!), but I have decided to celebrate my birthday elsewhere.“

“Good golly these burgers and fries are delicious. Those burgers are like elevated diner classics. Very good flavor. The fries may...may...outshine the burgers. Crispy exterior, delicious fluffy interior. If they had an array of sauces like those pommes frites places, they could just be serving fries, they are that good. Did not disappoint. Will be back. Depending on which way the wind is blowing you might get some funky smells from the city market trash cans, and your drinks are behind you, not where you order your burgers. “This is not an upscale place. It is an old fashioned burger place, like something out of the movies. I'm old enough to remember the days of drive though burger/malt shops before the chains all took over. I live this and would choose it over McDonald's or Burger King every time.“

“This place is a grab-n-go type of place. No dine-in area. Basically a convenience store with a carry-out restaurant. I got the tenderloin combo w/ fries and Philly cheesesteak combo w/ tots. Just order at the cash register and wait. 3 order in front of me and I waited about 15 mins. I enjoyed and recommend both sandwiches. The tenderloin was thin, but it balances with the buns and toppings. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious. It was a little smaller than I was expecting but the taste… it was mouthwatering good. There’s a bathroom. No dine-in. Go give this place a go.“

“My wife and I stopped in for the first time in a few years. We were seated after a bit of a wait. It is after all a Friday night in a shopping district. Our server was bright and cheery. She had a warming smile and happy persona. we placed our drink order. Shortly thereafter our food order was taken. I ordered a flat iron steak and a baker. My wife ordered soup and salad. Our dinner was served fairly quickly. Unfortunately my steak was quite a bit overcooked, so I requested one that wasn't over done. When the replacement steak was delivered, it was a bit overdone as well. I was hungry so I kept it. The manager came by to talk to us. I've spent time in a kitchen or two and I understand a dinner rush. The manager stopped at our table and wanted to assure us that this was not acceptable. She made things right, but wasn't needed or expected. I felt bad for our server because she probably feared she wasn't going to get tipped for a fairly big check. She was pretty wrong. I tipped correctly and arguably better than normal. Our return visit ended up being a great experience. We met a couple of wonderful human beings. Had some pretty good food. And, of course, my wife and I got to connect.“

“Probably my favorite fast food burger joint in Liberty and their custard is delicious. Service is always friendly and quick. I don't love the shoe string fries but I love their seasoning and fry sauce so I make due lol. Still highly recommend. Especially the brisket burger in the fall!“

“They have really helped me out! The staff is amazing and have always been so kind! I was very new to meal plans and they made sure I knew everything about the menu and how it all works! The food is also amazing it’s all made fresh weekly and saves me a lot of time and money!! I was spending $355-$400 a week on DoorDash and they have seriously reduced my food spending by a few hundred dollars a week! So thankful 🙏🏽“

“Traditional bar food offerings, the Bacon Cheddar burger is incredible. They source their meat from Fareway Meat Market, and it's always the highest quality. Opened in 1978, the Walsh family keeps the tradition alive of making a truly welcoming dive that's a staple of Kansas City. If you've never been, you're missing out.“

“By far my favorite little lounge in KC. It’s just a short 5 minute walk from my apartment so the convenience is there. I love the retro aesthetic mixed with modern design, and when there’s a DJ it adds even more to the experience. My drinks are always great and the customer service is attentive and friendly. The little burger truck outside, Disco Burger, is sic a fun and amazing addition on those tipsy nights you’re craving a good burger. My friends and I LOVE Varisty Club, and our favorite bartender is Caleb. He’s always so nice and efficient with us. Such a vibe. I would give 10 stars if I could.“

“Went up there one day just on a whim to test it out before I take my family up there. When I tell you your getting a burger on par a matter of fact they are better then 5 guys and reasonable prices. “The food was great but I wouldn’t come here on an evening of you want good service. My husband and I did a tasting tour near by and wanted something to eat before we headed back to the Air BnB. Immediately you could tell how the experience was going to be when we didn’t order drinks right away and didn’t see our server again for about 15 minutes. She was very obviously more interested in paying more attention to customers that ordered drinks right away. She didn’t give her name otherwise I would I mention here. We only got one water and she didn’t come back to us again. We went to go to the hostess to try to pay our bill, ended up stopping her as she was leaving the bar. I give 2 stars out of 5. That’s only because the food was really good. I don’t think I would come back here. Maybe during the day would be better but I don’t know if I’d come here again anyway.“

I started going there when they had the location on independence Ave and tonight I tried the St John one and to my surprise it was even better I like my pizza cooked well done and they literally cooked it to perfection without me even asking a little chared on top it was great . The place is better than fun house better than Minsky's probably in my top 3 favorite pizza places in kc. I had to take a picture of this pizza I got tonight because of litterly how beautiful it looked“

This is not butterfly shrimp it's boxed fried shrimp no flavor what so ever!!.And this sucks because the 3 times that I did order the shrimp they were real jumbo fried shrimp, and this is the reason I kept ordering it. This inconsistent time, really hurt my soul this evening 😂 please don't do this again. I love your spot and tell others. But I really was craving the real plump shrimp. Never been there just ordered several times. My employees love the beef hot dogs (chili) definitely worth the money.“
