way overpriced, rude and the burgers are nowhere close to the platte woods location. this place is a joke and won't be back
Stopped at north oak location waited 12 min in "line" then waved over to wait in car for order. waited 25 min. finally went in, some guy was slicing a raw fish fillet and taking an extremely long time doing it. Two others were training each other(unsuccessfully) and a guy taking orders. My order was sitting there in two sacks and finally the guy taking orders came over and handed them to me. One of the worst experiences I’ve had with a restaurant/fast food place in some time. We’ve had LC’s food before and while it is usually a little slower than most places it’s not been too bad and the food usually good. I tried to call in an order last night, nobody answering the phone so I decided to still drive by and see if they were open. Called several times, this probably should have been a clue. LC's Hamburgers is a tiny, old-school hole-in-the-wall with only about five or six tables inside. It is a great little burger stand that makes good hamburgers, Rubens, and other traditional fast food sandwiches. The hamburgers are delicious, with thick patties that taste like a mixture of Chuck and sirloin. The Bacon Cheeseburger and Chili Cheese Fries are out of this world. The Double Westerner burger is amazing, with two onion rings, grilled onions, and barbecue sauce. The mushroom Swiss burger is really good, loaded with mushrooms and grilled onions. The seasoned fries are to die for, and the onion rings are top-notch. The fried mushrooms are some of the best, with incredible breading. The jalapeño hush puppies are great with just the right amount of kick. The fried fish has spot-on breading and goes well with their tartar sauce. Bomb desserts include fantastic shakes, like pineapple and cherry, and a nice sweet addition. The prices are fabulous. Sometimes there is a wait, but customers can order online for pick up or delivery. The owner and staff are friendly. It is a true hidden gem and a must-try for burger lovers.
