Our server, Lauren, was top-notch: attentive to every need, full of great recommendations, and wonderfully warm and engaging.
Head chef Megan was just as lovely—so friendly and welcoming, and incredibly talented. Every dish we tried was fantastic. The manager checked in with us to ensure that we were having a good experience.

The chicken wings were a delicious surprise—an unexpectedly refined take on a familiar favorite. The mushrooms in the fried rice were to die for, and the sushi rolls were amazing. We can’t say enough good things about the food.

The atmosphere made the evening even more special, with pottery, exposed wood, great music, and even a bathroom that felt like an experience of its own. I wanted to move in. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you.“

“I have lived in the KC area all of my life, not sure how I never knew of this place. Really cool little farm to table restaurant. I went with 2 of my nephews today and we loved it. I had the Steak and Eggs Benedict and it was perfect. My nephews had the Salmon Scramble and the Huevos Burrito, and they both said they were great. We will be back.

Today was my second trip here and it was as good as it was the first time, but I had to get the steak and eggs benedict again. I went with my sister and her husband and three kids and all of them loved it. And I will say Adam was one of the best servers I've ever had.“

Brothers to my eyes because my late granny, just passed recently, make her burgers exactly like these burgers brought tears to my eyes and joy to my soul! “We were staying overnight at The Fairfield Inn, and The Summit Grill was recommended to us for a dinner location. We were pleasantly surprised at the deliciously amazing food, quick service, and also our attentive waiter, Travis. “Jim and the team there care, a rare commodity in this day and age. A friend of mine accidentally left behind his son’s teddy bear, 6 waitresses and Jim studied the picture and took down our numbers. Jim was in the back, one of the waitresses (wish I knew her name) said to hold on that Jim would want to be involved. Think about that, a waitress willingly involving a manager, and the manager CARED. 10/10 would recommend, good food, better people. I wish this business nothing but the best. 🙏“

“I met some friends for drinks and we had a wonderful time. My water glass was never empty and the waitress was very knowledgeable about the drinks and the menu. She was very attentive without hovering. We sat in the bar area and it was a great atmosphere. We got deviled eggs and fries as a snack and everything was delicious. The drinks were so good! I recommend getting a reservation as it was full the whole time and now I see why!“

“If I could I would give this dinette 10 Stars. I stopped in for a coffee and pastry and I was not disappointed. Good coffee and delicious pastry. The interior wall quite modern, gives off a really nostalgic vibe! The service was excellent, friendly and efficient! It's a great edition to downtown!

Since writing my initial review I've been into Hemma Hemma a number of times and everything I wrote previously still stands. This is an absolutely stellar restaurant experience

I'm updating my review because I recently had their fried chicken sandwich that came with their tator tots. The chicken was nice wonderfully Krispy and simply Delicious. However the tater tots, something I usually don't care for, were stellar. Like the chicken they were crispy which made for fine dining. But the seasoning was over the top flavorful. You can tell this is a very favorite place of mine now!“
