“The food we ordered was good. I was happy to see a restaurant that served a Rueben sandwich that was made with Russian dressing instead of the usual Thousand Island that so many places substitute. We would have liked to try some of the cocktails, but this was not the trip to do it on with a 3-hour trip home afterward.Parking: The lower lot is small. The upper lot was larger but we did not like having to take stairs up and down. This is not a problem for some, just did not like as an older couple.“
“Very busy on Saturday afternoon at 4 pm so we decided to wait until Sunday morning to avoid the crowds. Sunday morning around 11:20 was perfect! Great service and the waitress gave us guidance on ordering to avoid gluten cross contamination due to celiac disease. My daughter, who has Celiac, ordered the BLT lettuce wrap and it was amazing along with a side salad with a vinaigrette dressing. I ordered a burger on a gluten free bun, which was perfectly done. We will definitely be back when in the area next time.Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy due to celiac disease“
“I also, always take time to window shop in the store area. Sometimes before eating, sometimes after.Parking: The parking lot is not difficult to navigate.Kid-friendliness: As a retired couple with grandchildren who live more than a few hours away, we enjoy seeing the little ones come in with their family and their interactions.“
“We enjoyed a fantastic casual dinner on the patio! My husband had a delish perfectly cooked bacon cheeseburger and the onion rings… wow! I had a perfect grilled cheese and crispy tater tots. Nom Nom Nom! Super friendly service! We can’t wait to return and try it for breakfast. Gorgeous view of the lake, hidden gem, and a Must Go if you’re anywhere near Wyandotte lake!“
“We had a wonderful dinner tonight with our favorite server, Brian. He always does a fantastic job. Brian has such a great attitude and always makes us feel welcome. He pays attention to details and never fails to be a memorable server. In addition to the items checked, we also had an order of catfish nuggets (especially good w/the hushpuppy sauce) & Shrimp Czarina with a side of our most favorite sauce, Pontchartrain. I didn't realize they offered Big Red soda so that was another highlight for me. I marked the blackened chicken fettuccine but actually ordered the pasta Jus which is the same dish with broccoli florets added in honor of an owner/kitchen manager that passed away in 2023.“
“One of my favorite places to eat a steak.I had the 12oz ribeye lunch special with asparagus.I ordered the tonion as an appetizer. The free unlimited bread loaf wasn’t the best.I went during lunch for the specials. The restaurant wasn’t busy for a Saturday afternoon.Plenty of places to sit and eat at.“
“OMG fantastic BBQ! Some of the best, most tender burnt ends I've had in KC! Definitely will be returning for brunch! We also enjoyed an appetizer w/$8 off for their "8th Anniversary Special" - we got the BBQ wontons - definitely would recommend. But I also saw the appetizer for onion straws - it was stacked about 6 inches high with onion straws across the 12 inch appetizer plate - it was HUGE to say the least & I was sad we didn't get that too after seeing it :) Kye was great! Very quick & on top of our needs. She seemed to be one of the few waiters/waitresses working & she kicked major butt! Thank you!!“
“I enjoy the atmosphere at Crackle Barrel and the country store! I usually go for breakfast and share the grandma's special with my husband. The cheesy hashbrowns and the hot apples are great sides to order with breakfast! Everything is delicious!“
“Stopped in for lunch. Instead of ordering my regular gendered, I ordered a hickory burger. My mistake. The hubby ordered a gendare double, next time I will stick to mu usual. There was very little hickory about my burger, just an average burger. The size of an order of onion rings has shrunk. We have always split an order, I think we haf 4 rings and a tiny little ring. They were ubergreasy and just not that great.“
“Very relaxed atmosphere and older crowd.. drinks are very very reasonable and you get a good quality drink for what you pay When I leave the house that's normally where I go and then back home again not because there isn't anywhere else to go here in Kansas City Kansas which there is it's just that I prefer this place.. you will find friendly, smiling people just ready to two step, enjoy, the night and make it home safely. That's my experience on a Friday night.“
“I went there this past weekend and the food was excellent. Of course I think it had a lot to do with how amazing our server Logan was! She was one of a kind and I don’t think I’ve ever experienced service as well as hers. Definitely consider changing it to Famous Logan’s!“
“Pretty sure this is the food they serve when you die and go to heaven. Talk about FOOD FOR THE SOUL!!!!! SO good!!! I get one Cheat Day each week, and I am so happy when I can eat here!!! There's a good variety including full meals with sides and sandwiches. This last time I got the sampler platter with what I call "crack" chicken wings, tender ribs, and succulent brisket along with 2 sides for a VERY reasonable price. The macaroni and cheese is TO DIE FOR!!!! And THE BEST cole slaw I have EVER eaten! The whole meal almost made me WEEP it was so tasty!!! We polished it off with a slice of crazy delicious lemon cake. I waddled out of there all fat and happy...full as a tick! The owners, Kit and Angelynn, are so personable and friendly. They really want you to FULLY ENJOY the food. And I DID!!! I give Anna's BLD Bistro 2 VERY enthusiastic thumbs up! Eat in the cozy, homey space there, or take it on home so you can lick your fingers in private! (They also cater!!!)“
“Our server Misty made us glad to have made this waffle house our first stop on our trip. She’s been working there longer than i’ve been alive and it’s obviously because she’s amazing at her job and she didn’t even judge when i wanted to try grits with chili. this is our new go to waffle house in KC.“
“Culver's is one of those few places that actually staffs correctly, there are a ton of employees compared to other places and it's not because they're busy or overstaffed, it's because they're smart. They have so many employees on duty that everyone has a reduced work load, rested and unstressed employees are happy employees. This is the key to their success, everyone is always super nice, the facility is clean, and the food comes out fast, fresh, and orders are accurate.Culver's is focused on profits by truly prioritizing their customers and more businesses of all kinds should follow this strategy.“
“An often overlooked place in one of the great BBQ destination cities, which has always puzzled me. They are consistently good with any dish that I order, there's always plenty of places to sit and park, and it's easy to find. If you traveled to the city to get a taste of the great barbecue joints, skip one of the ones that are always on the tourism lists and go here instead. You won't be disappointed.“
“Rosedale Bar-B-Q is (in mine and my family's opinion) the ABSOLUTE BEST in everything! I recently moved back to Oklahoma, and NOTHING compares! I LOVE hot BBQ sauce. And Oklahoma just does NOT have it! I'm a "burnt end girl. I can go in ANYTIME, and they have my burnt ends!(Have tried several different places, and nope!) LOVE MY Rosedale Bar-B-Q! I really miss it!Wheelchair accessibility: Very spacious. Easily accessible for wheelchairs.“
“Always a lot going on. Service is always great, they have specials on food and drink all the time. Reuben was delicious as well. Chicken strip app is my favorite. Would recommend this place and time again. It can get a little crowded but that just shows how popular the dotte spot is.“
“So after visiting our best friend at the ku med center we stopped at tanners. The atmosphere is full on sports bar and large and open. Of course hubby and make a beeline to the bar. Both of us ordered a beer which arrived in a frosty glass ? and quickly (we were parched!). The menu has lots of options (see photo). I'm in the mood for a burger and of course, I'm going to try the onion rings! Hubby has the potato skins. Our bartender and server, Natalia, is attentive without hovering and friendly. Her timing is spot on. Our food arrives piping hot (that's must for me). My burger is cooked medium rare-perfect! The onion rings are not as crispy as freestates but definitely worth it. The burger is so tender it's literally falling apart. The bun is a kaiser like roll and very soft, like fresh baked. If you want extras (cheese, mushroom, etc) it'll cost you. I like bare burgers and this one delivered. Very moist and delicious. Hubby's potato skins were just the right amount of ingredients. The potato itself was perfectly bakes-not mushy and not chewy. Green onions, sour cream, cheese and bacon were all in sync with one another. I actually snagged a bite (or 20) and may have swayed back and forth in ecstacy. Really really good. The bathroom was SPOTLESS and the stalls have full size doors that completely enclose the stall! ❤️This place is 1 hour away but we both agreed it's worth the drive, especially if Natalia is working and the chef is the same! Outstanding!“
“Where do I begin, the drive-thru is blocked off. I went thinking it was a Texas Tom's, by the way Texas Tom's starts in a unknown date, next week so they have two menus on the wall, smoke burger and Texas Tom's....well I ordered from the small paper menu taped to the wall...I really wanted Texas Tom's because the sign out side said Texas Tom's, not Texas Tom's next week or so....can't complain too much, but I really wanted a chocolate shake....“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant where I encountered exemplary service from a young waiter name (BRENT) who left an indelible mark on my dining experience. From the moment we were seated until the conclusion of our meal, his positive energy and attentive demeanor elevated our dining experience to new heights. One of the most striking aspects of our interaction with this young man was his infectious positivity. “Chill atmosphere very friendly waiter and fast well cooked foods. No complaints here, 5 stars all around for sure! Thank you for your patience, Atar . Over here opening doors for older customers & stuff like a true gentleman. Fast & hot just hot I like it.“
“Haven’t been to this location in over 10 years. Decided to swing by for a bit of nostalgia. The place got a little bit of an update. There’s no longer a drive-thru so you have to go in. However, parking is odd - there’s the front parking and the side parking. The side parking is a pain getting in and out because it’s so cramped. Ordering was quick and easy and my food was ready at the next window after a few seconds. The customer service was decent but I don’t expect much from a grab and go kind of business… especially one in the downtown area. Food was great and tasted how I remembered it.“
“Wow, the employees at this location are true professionals. Our order was expediently taken, relayed to the cook in the terse language known only to true Waffle House masters. Our meals arrived in a flash exactly as ordered and perfect in every way. Our drinks were refilled before we had to ask and our check was slipped onto the table without fanfare. Amazing service that beats even the most expensive restaurants, at an incredible price.“
“It was a bit busy but organized well so the wait was minimum. Staff was multitasking very well. Food was good as always. We both got the country fried steak. Also got to see 5 birds on the building that look like gray owls. Very beautiful birds.“
“Really noticeable that management has changed here! Been in last 2 Saturday mornings and the service is top notch. You can see one of the managers in kitchen directing the cooks and making sure the food gets made right and another manager helping checking on tables and even helping clean tables!! Very noticeable change and is for sure looking good for dennys in general! Will recommend this location from here on out!“
“Overall it was a pretty good visit. We did show up an hour before close, so there were practically no others in the restaurant. The drinks we ordered were good. The food was alright, kind of bland for our liking. They have tons of options that all sounded pretty good. Probably worth more than one visit just to give more things a chance to stand out.“
“After wasting our time at Yard House, because according to their man bun manager, corporate won't allow them to play the College Football National Championship on their sound system. So we made our way down to Danny's and couldn't be happier that we did. Food selection was way better, portions were bigger, and prices were lower. Staff were friendly and the bar had Goldentee and other games to play during half time.“
“I stopped in on Monday night during a snow storm with my wife and 2 daughters. We normally love Chili's and this location was ok. Except the entire place was freezing. And even though it was empty we were put right next to a plate glass window with cold temperatures from outside coming off of it. The waitress was great. The food was good. The manager was a little bit inflexible with our order request.. that others Chili's locations have had no issues with... he came back to our table a few times after we ordered with the waitress. She came back later an apologized to us for his behavior. Seems like it shouldn't be her job to have to do this, and a good manager wouldn't put their staff in that position. We were traveling through KC. We still love Chili's but will likely not return to this location.....“
“I visited the diner at my first time, but it was a great experience. The meal was so tasty and the service friendly. Because it was so a great experience i visited at the weekend again. If you want to play the jukebox, bring 1 dollar bills with you“
“Love hitting up my favorite WYCO BBQ spot... Holy Smoke. Stopped by this afternoon and they had a group in the lobby and the food was coming out fast. Ribs smelled so good, I couldn't wait til I got home... Chewing on a rib as I was driving down State.“
