“Date night. Great place to go. Huge selection of drinks and awesome food. I had a salad with salmon that was one of the vest salads i have ever had and my boyfriend had a bourbon burger and said it was "perfect". We had the loaded spud app and shared the pretzel dessert....the best beginning and ending we could want. Our server, Heather, was so sweet and talked us through a lot of our options. She was super attentive. We will definitely be heading back!“

“We're out of towners looking for a bite to eat near our hotel and stumbled upon Barley's. Our waiter was great and attentive. Food and brews were delicious. We also loved the live music. Perfect date night.“

“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

Bartender was too busy to ask about it after we got the itemized receipt. Overall, delicious. Just wish we would have gotten the full special.“

“Lauren was outstanding!!!!!! We had a group of 12 …….I made the reservation. Our tables were tucked so we could chat and not be in the mainstream. A dynamite waitress, sweet and so accommodating of whatever we asked. No goofs even with this huge group. And……..I brought two special occasion pies for dessert. She put them in the cooler. “Went in for the 2 meat platter. I got brisket and sausage! It comes with bread and a side. The brisket was a bit dry, I’d expect a better quality when going to a specific bbq restaurant. Other than that the food was good. 4.2 stars from me due to the brisket being dry. They have a very great staff!“

“Such a great place. We got the bone marrow, 8oz filet, and added a lobster tail. Honestly, the -1 star was mostly our fault. The filet came out overcooked and we should have had that corrected. We tried it and our first bites were fantastic... but from the center. Most of it was too done and dry. We just don't like sending back food.“
