Anjin is a restaurant that delivers a chef-driven dining experience in an intimate setting with counter seating. The food is incredible, with a rotating menu that showcases seasonal ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Favorites include the shisho pickled shrimp, the blackberry shisho frozen yogurt, the Enoki Mushroom Tempura, the Goma Saba, the three yakitori skewers, the pork sando, the seasonal salad, and the Corn & Crab Okonomiyaki seafood dish with egg yolk. The tempura on the mushrooms is perfectly crunchy, served with a lemon wedge and horseradish dipping sauce with an herb oil. The dessert is a highlight, with ever changing soft serve flavors and fun and interesting toppings, including house-made matcha and pandan ice cream. The sake selection is impressive, with flights and plenty of interesting options, and the lemon soju is over the top. The staff is professional, responsive, knowledgeable, personable, friendly, and attentive, making the meal feel intimate and personal. The restaurant is very intimate with around 20 seats, and the only seating is at the counter with loud music, so it is a little hard to hear with more than two people. Anjin is highly recommended for a great date night, a dinner out with friends, or someone who enjoys a culinary experience of unique flavors and a cool atmosphere.
