“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

“Was really good! Some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Came in during Sunday happy hour after 4 and was told all cocktails are $2 off, however got charged full price for one of hours. Bartender was too busy to ask about it after we got the itemized receipt. Overall, delicious. Just wish we would have gotten the full special.“

“We were passing thru and staying at Best Western Premier. The desk clerk recommended Conrad’s! We went there and so glad we did! Claire was our waitress and she was amazing! Hubby has allergies and she went back twice to make sure he was ok!! We shared the Blue Chips appetizer…with a couple cold ones. OMG….they were soooo good! We had regular BBQ sauce instead of Buffalo. Amazing! And you get so much!! Definitely enough to share! Then we both ordered the grilled chicken wrap with ranch dressing. That also was so very good! I brought 1/2 of mine back to motel for breakfast in the morning. For a side I had steamed broccoli which was excellent. Hubby had the mixed vegetables. It is a casual but nice place!! “Great date spot! It gets a little crowded on days like Valentine's Day or Saturdays, but the patrons are generally very understanding and won't hog Ms. Pac Man for too long. That being said, they rotate games frequently and the staff is very nice. And it is a 21+ only bar, so that is a plus.“

“Went in for the 2 meat platter. I got brisket and sausage! It comes with bread and a side. The brisket was a bit dry, I’d expect a better quality when going to a specific bbq restaurant. Other than that the food was good. 4.2 stars from me due to the brisket being dry. They have a very great staff!“

“Such a great place. We got the bone marrow, 8oz filet, and added a lobster tail. Honestly, the -1 star was mostly our fault. The filet came out overcooked and we should have had that corrected. We tried it and our first bites were fantastic... but from the center. Most of it was too done and dry. We just don't like sending back food.“
