I brought my bike into Velo Bike shop in NKC after a gravel fall. They analyzed many issues that needed adjustment, repair and/or replacement. Most importantly, they suggested a rubber studded tires for pavement and GRAVEL! My new tires have studs around the circumference AND around the side walls. Took it out for a little 19mi. spin. CYCLING, SHIFTING, BRAKING AND RIDING on air!

just dropped off my mongoose and I can't wait to get my bmx fixed up and ready to roll again
Stopped by a couple of days ago for a chain repair. It was quick, easy, and the price was very reasonable. Got some good tips about caring for my bike too. I'll definitely be back for any more service my bike needs in the future.

Velo Garage Bicycle Shop is a unique combination of a bike shop, bar, and pizzeria. This restaurant offers tasty pizza made from scratch, along with a great selection of beer. Some may find the beer prices higher than at other bars in the area, and the service can be slow, possibly due to it being a one-man show. The bike shop features a variety of high-end and costly bikes, and it provides one-on-one assistance for new purchases and repairs. The shop includes a DIY repair station that is helpful for those needing to complete small tasks without the necessary tools. Velo Garage has a cycling club that hosts weekly group rides, fostering a diverse community of cyclists who share a love for bikes. The atmosphere is enjoyable, catering to both bike enthusiasts and craft beer lovers. However, the restaurant's hours may be inconvenient for some, though they are clearly communicated through their answering machine. Overall, Velo Garage is a great spot for those in North Kansas City to socialize and enjoy good beer and pizza, but not everyone may find the food and service to their liking.
