“This was an important dinner, my son who is 26, had surgery(had his tonsils removed) a couple days ago, and The recovery is described as one of the worst, and it feels like shards of glass in your throat.he has to eat soft food and he had Choices all over the Kansas City metro area. He chose Joe’s, Joe’s mac & cheese to be exact! We live on the Missouri side (Gladstone). So I decided to stop by this evening, and not only get a quart of mac & cheese for him, I grabbed dinner for myself (z-man w/ fries, ribs w/ red beans and rice, Mac and cheese) which I was reluctant to do, due to me having to drive 35 minutes home and I was worried that it was going to be Soggy and cold, Well, much to my surprise, the food was packed perfectly, my food was still hot, and my fries were still crispy! Thank you Joe’s in Leawood you did amazing! I will probably be back in the next couple of days to purchase more Joes mac & cheese! BTW this son of mine recommends Joes to everyone!! “Our service was fantastic. Kaylen, the manager, and our server went above and beyond to make sure we had a special evening. We had friends visiting from out of town and wanted to show them a great time, and they absolutely delivered.
Kaylen took the time to make sure everything was right. We had a dish that just wasn't to our taste, and he immediately took care of us without hesitation. Great customer service is hard to find these days, and it was refreshing to experience a team that genuinely cares about their guests.

“Chef J's BBQ was incredible! I was lucky enough to be able to order The Boss, therefore I got to try the Brisket and Jalapeno BBQ Sausage and both tasted fresh with the perfect amount of smoke. The ratio of fat and tender meat on the Brisket was perfect. My girlfriend and I showed up hungry and left with a full belly. The staff that work at Chef J's BBQ make you feel like your eating at home. 10 out of 10 experience!“

“We ordered a cheeseburger with fries, wings in their sweet & spicy BBQ sauce, brisket sandwich, and beans. Burger was delicious, nice and smoky. Fries were also really good, well seasoned. Wings are made to order and nice and crispy even though they're covered in sauce. Brisket sandwich was very good, just needed a pinch of salt. Beans were delicious, especially when dipping the fries in them.

Service was polite and excellent. I had several questions and she answered them all with a smile. After paying, she told me 14 minutes until my order was ready. I noted the time and went to my car to wait on my order. At the 13 minute mark, they were signaling me that my order was ready.

I don't consider this a drawback, but just a heads up; they're located outside a gas station. It actually worked out perfectly for me, as I needed to grab an energy drink for the next day.

I'll definitely be back, as they're close to my house and local. Highly recommended.“

“I cannot express enough how amazed I am with the customer service. Yesterday (Super Bowl Sunday—-GO CHIEFS!) I placed an online order. My pick up time was at 5 (earliest I could get because I waited too long to place the order) I arrive early hoping it would be done earlier because I had people arriving at my house and I didn’t want to miss the game. When I arrived it was packed on people waiting. I assumed I was going to be there for awhile so asked if I could order a beer. They got me a beer and a chair. As I sat there for over an hour (it went past my pick up time) I saw all of the employees working very hard trying their best to fill the orders quickly. Some of the customers were being quite rude to the girls up front as the customers were upset their food wasn’t ready. The girls did an amazing job keeping everyone calm they would simply just smile and tell them they are working on it. I was so impressed how these girls handled themselves not one time did I hear them get snippy with a customer even tho I’m sure they wanted to. It was always a smile with a polite response. I was there almost til the end and a guy started yelling at the girls and still it was a smile and polite response. I got my food and made it for the game and the food was delicious as always!“

“My husband and I had the best experience at this restaurant. The food was good as always. During our meal my husband had to use the rest room. He has some dementia and can’t walk very well. Unfortunately we were sitting at a table which was on the complete opposite side of the restaurant from the rest room. The server noticed our dilemma and said she would guide him over to the restroom. She was back immediately. I said, “Oh, he won’t be able to find his way back to this table.” The server told me not to worry about it. The restaurant manager had taken him over and would wait and bring him back. That is undoubtedly the kindest thing that has ever happened to us in a restaurant. Thank you to the wonderful people at the RoanRidge Texas Roadhouse.“

Beef & turkey were moist and flavorful, but the ribs were a bit dry. It is a wet BBQ, which I generally do not care for, but did not mind as I enjoyed their peppery sauce. I also enjoyed the fries, which were crisp on the outside but mash potato-like on the inside. Ladies behind the counter were not overly helpful, but other staff were exceptionally kind & helpful. Main eating area is dark, but you can sit in the light filled bar & watch the streetcar go by.“

There was a couple of conferences going on inside the hotel so the restaurant and bar area was crowded and there was only one staff person waiting on everyone. I don’t know what the situation was in the kitchen however, even though I had to wait for a service, I knew they were doing their best and when my salad came, it was so delicious. I also ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and it was a very generous pour maybe making up for the lack of help that day. It did help me enjoy my lunch very much. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with such warmth and professionalism by Mayleth. She escorted me to my table, gave excellent breakfast recommendations, and truly made me feel valued as a guest.

The breakfast itself was delicious, but what really stood out was the exceptional service. My waitress, Ziara, was just as amazing friendly, professional, always smiling, and genuinely engaging in conversation throughout the meal. Both of these ladies went above and beyond to create such a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

The ambiance at Spectators was calm, relaxing, and inviting. Honestly, it felt less like dining at a hotel restaurant and more like enjoying a meal at home with family. That kind of hospitality is rare to find.
