“This was an important dinner, my son who is 26, had surgery(had his tonsils removed) a couple days ago, and The recovery is described as one of the worst, and it feels like shards of glass in your throat.he has to eat soft food and he had Choices all over the Kansas City metro area. He chose Joe’s, Joe’s mac & cheese to be exact! We live on the Missouri side (Gladstone). So I decided to stop by this evening, and not only get a quart of mac & cheese for him, I grabbed dinner for myself (z-man w/ fries, ribs w/ red beans and rice, Mac and cheese) which I was reluctant to do, due to me having to drive 35 minutes home and I was worried that it was going to be Soggy and cold, Well, much to my surprise, the food was packed perfectly, my food was still hot, and my fries were still crispy! Thank you Joe’s in Leawood you did amazing! I will probably be back in the next couple of days to purchase more Joes mac & cheese! BTW this son of mine recommends Joes to everyone!! “Food is really good, I've ordered many times from them but my last order included an $8.25 fee for carry out supplies. They charge a percent of the entire bill. No where in the check out process do they tell you this. This seems excessive for 6 utensil packs and 5 takeout containers. Many other BBQ places with similar price points do not charge this fee. If you are going to charge extra fees be up front about it.“

“As a Gluten Free customer I want to highly recommend this restaurant. The waitress, Hailey was great! She got a special menu for me and made suggestions for GF food. I got the McCoy with pulled pork, GF bun and potato salad. The bun was amazing! The pulled pork delicious! I didn't care for the potato salad because it had a slight tang. Otherwise I can say this BBQ riveled ours in NC!!“

What we ordered (we are not big in to lot of meat); Appetizers: Rangoons, 2xTiger Cry Beef and Papaya salad Drinks: Bottle of wine and cocktails Main dishes: Drunk noodle, Crab fried rice, Burnt end red curry, Seafood curry (cannot recall name), White rice (came along) Dessert: Bread pudding with ice cream Everything was so delicious! “Came for my son's request Birthday dinner. Felt rushed, server kept trying too remove my wife's plate even though she wasn't finished. Called at 12:30pm and asked for a table ahead of time was told that the person that took my call would speak with the manager on that shift and would take care of the table request. Even said the time we would be attending. Didn't get that table that was requested. I understand that it is a first come first service situation. But was not told that when I called. “Been wanting to try J’s for a while now and it did not disappoint. Had the burnt end sandwich (minus the cheese) and beans for a side. Burnt ends were tender and smoky with good bark. Beans were good with chunks of brisket in them. But the high light was having the owner offer a taste test of a rack of lamb he just finished. OMG!!! One of the best bbq meats I have ever eaten (and I’ve eaten a LOT). I sincerely hope it makes it on the menu! Great little BBQ spot. I’ll be back!“

“Ate at the bar & service was great. Very personable & efficient bartender. Drinks & food were served as ordered. The restaurant was packed with lots of people & hardly a parking space to spare. Women's room had only one operational stool (out of three), trash on floors in all three stalls, & overflowing wastebaskets inside & outside the restroom. Staff said they handled the situation before we left, but I didn't return.“
