Parking: Our family was looking for a BBQ spot and found Slap's. Everything about the place from ordering to eating was absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for a traditional spot, this is the place.
This was my second time trying Kansas City bbq. My initial experience was at Joe’s bbq and that was excellent. Due to this, I had high standards coming here, and while the food was good, it wasn’t quite to the level of Joe’s.I tried the ribs, brisket and burnt ends. The ribs were good, but I wish they had a more smoked taste. Mainly tasted like the bbq sauce or seasoning. The brisket was sadly pretty flavorless. The burnt ends, however, were excellent.
