“We attended a private event for approximately 50 guests at Austin's on Lone Elm this weekend. The taco bar was quite tasty, and stocked repeatedly for our group as needed. While the party was fun, it was ever more memorable due to our two servers, Mikaela and Jeremy. These two were so fun, exuberant and hard working professionals. Their constant smiles while keeping up with the drink orders with precision was fantastic! They were go getters from the start and made an already fun day even better. “The chicken fried chicken was very good - the chicken was tender and the breading was crispy and delicious. I swapped the corn for fresh green beans with bacon. The garlic mashed potatoes and gravy complimented the chicken. The servers were around several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was lively, but it was loud.“

“Of all my years living in the KC metro, this is the first time I have ever been to Old Chicago.
The location is in a busy area of 119th st.
I enjoyed the personal pepperoni pizza special which included a house salad and a cookie desert. The chocolate chip cookie was warm and fresh.
The prices are affordable and the servers have good service.“

“I really only come here for the sports bar atmosphere. Food is not anything spectacular but tolerable much like any other sports bar in the area. Service this day was sub par. I think our bartender/ server may have been high, as they really messed up our order. But all in all, kinda what I expect from Johnny's.“

“Love this place! The staff is so so nice and the food is great. Will say, the live music is WAY too loud. Talked to multiple people during the live music and they agreed. It was a great performer but was hard to hear my server and people around. If the sound was turned down just slightly during live performers it would be 10/10!! Otherwise food and staff is amazing“

“We ate there Saturday afternoon and they weren't overly busy. Two of us got the shrimp platter with fries and onion rings. Unfortunately, the shrimp and hush puppies were burnt. They were so overcooked they weren't moist at all, dry as can be. The waitress forgot to bring the malt vinegar for our friends fish platter. Then she ordered a mule beer and the waitress never did return with that either. Food used to be great. Hopefully this was just a bad day. We'll give them another chance.“

“Came in on a superbowl Sunday and it was quiet ish, the bartender, Ryan was great though, engaging, great service, dealt with my indecisiveness quickly. I had a great time just chilling on a quiet night. Came back Tuesday and it was lively, plenty of friendly locals. Ryan remembered my name and what I was drinking. My hometown dive bars don't serve food, but I felt at home, which is rare.

I'll be back, whenever I'm in town. A+ in my book. If you're on the fence, just come in.“

“Checked out the place because I loved what I had seen online. I was greeted promptly and efficiently at the hostess stand. I was quickly seated. I reviewed the menu and my server greeted me quickly. I asked her for her recommendation. She suggested the bourbon glaze burger. The burger was juicy flavorful and well seasoned. The server was available but not pushy. The manager also checked to be sure things were satisfactory. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely return. If i were to make one suggestion, it would to not put all the garnish on the bottom bun.“

“We had a retirement party for my wife, the whole experience from beginning to end was beyond outstanding. Thanks to the young lady Alyia that took care of us and Adam that managed the party, the kitchen staff that made the food was awesome, a lot of compliments on it. “Stay away. They cheat you out of food. I paid for 2 meals, 1 to eat there and 1 to take home for lunch. Waitress threw away my to go meal when I went to BR. Before I left, I asked for them to replace it. Manager said that was her fault, not his, and refused to replace it. They cheat you out of food. Manager is lying in his response. I spoke to him before I left and asked where my 2nd meal was and then to replace it. All in the same visit.“

(1) Tasty food -the fries were crunchy and fluffy and flavorful, and the burger was juicy and plump and had a good amount but not too much of sauce
(2) The prices are very fair
(3) The interior is not too loud, though that might would change if there were more people
(4) We asked for the BLT to have extra-crispy bacon, and they did a good job at that
(5) The portion size is just about right

Cons:
(1) The chairs are in bad shape and ripped with stuffing spilling out in some cases

(1) I went in with low expectations, as I hadn’t heard anyone really ever mention this place, and so many of their chairs were ripped or in bad shape. But I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was“

“I came to this location. They had messed up my food, but then after speaking to a manager, he remade all my food for me and it looked really better. Just ate here a couple days ago and I’m very happy about the service that I received and that’s why I gave them five stars most definitely will be coming back to this location😍😍“

(1) Prices aren’t too outrageous, and they have things like $12 country fried chicken/steak Friday, $10 fish and chips Friday, half price burgers on Wednesday…
(2) Portion size isn’t bad

Cons:
(1) Good quality is a bit on the worse side of things - refried beans were lukewarm, fish tacos came with shredded yellow cheese and not queso fresco as was listed, the juicy Lucy burger (patty supposed to be stuffed with cheese) must have been stuffed with a very minimal amount of cheese as I might have seen a piece of cheese once
(2) Fried pickles had a thin coating and the pickle slices themselves were arguably too thick“

“Strongly recommend that you check it out. We were out for drinks and karaoke (Saturday night) and we had a great time! KJ did great! Music was great! Some good singers in there. We did not eat, but the food looked great! Prices are very reasonable. Staff was outgoing and friendly which really helps patrons have a great time too. 5 out of 5 stars“
