My server, Eliza, was the absolute sweetest. She has the vibe (as the kids would say) of my previous wife, Lindsay. That being said, Lindsay had severe anger issues that she’d take out on the dog—not to say that I peg Eliza as a dog beater. She was great: really blue eyes, a nice feminine figure, the works!

She came back several times to check on me and asked how the food was, but I was too busy stuffing my gullet with that delicious pie. Anyhow, I recommend that you make The Other Place your new place! Boy, do I crack myself up sometimes!“

Courtney who was the bartender, was the best I've seen the way she handled her regular customers, along with new patrons like myself. She was phenomenal!

I stopped by Johnny’s Tavern this evening with my wife, and we had a great experience from start to finish. We decided to try both the pizza and the steak tacos, and both really hit the spot. The pizza was exactly what you want– solid crust and great flavor– but the steak tacos were the real surprise; the seasoning and quality of the meat were fantastic.

What really made our visit stand out, though, was the service. We had Madison as our server, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. It’s rare to get service that good, and it definitely added to the overall atmosphere of the place.

Highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a reliable spot for good food and excellent hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!“

“I work at a bakery in Lees Summit and our customer constantly rave about this place. This is our 3rd time and every single time the steak is consistent and perfect. I'm usually an eat steak at home girl but nick and jakes puts my steak to shame. I'm happy to let them cook me a steak anytime!“

“Had to leave a review because the bartender working during the Mexico game was LIT. 🔥 My homies and I were impressed. We never seen a bartender grab two bottles at once and pour shots that fast while still keeping everything cool. She was making so many drinks in no time it was fun to watch.

She was also hella cute 😂 and somehow managed to take a ton of orders at once without losing track of anyone. Even though the bar was packed she kept checking in letting people know she’d be right back and apologizing for the wait. You could tell she cared about everyone getting taken care of.

The whole crowd was waiting for HER to take their orders and once we saw her working, we understood why. She killed it.

They were so overcooked they weren't moist at all, dry as can be. The waitress forgot to bring the malt vinegar for our friends fish platter. Then she ordered a mule beer and the waitress never did return with that either. Food used to be great. Hopefully this was just a bad day. We'll give them another chance.“

We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. Everything was incredible and such a great value! The staff was on point. “I showed up at 10:30 pm with two drenched teen boys. We'd just come from a World Cup match and we wanted to eat and watch the end of the Team USA match. They took fantastic care of us. I gave four stars only because one kid said his burger was dry. This place is a gem.“

“This is a small, local bar that is playing sports on a few TV's which I guess makes it a sports bar. But give it a chance. The owner was extremely nice and yet was bantering with the locals like a salty sailor. The wings were surprisingly good, their house sauce was spicy and tangy. And the locals were also friendly. This is not a chain place, but if you want a beer and good wings this is the place to go.“
