“Not sure why this place is never spoken of as one of the great KC BBQ places up with the others. The food is definitely a top 5 bbq in KC and the sauce is easily a top 3. It is a super casual place that just makes great food. I have been here several times, and the only downside is that the they are occasionally understaffed with waiters/waitresses which can make paying your bill a little slow. Other than that this place is great.“
“We ate there Saturday afternoon and they weren't overly busy. Two of us got the shrimp platter with fries and onion rings. Unfortunately, the shrimp and hush puppies were burnt. They were so overcooked they weren't moist at all, dry as can be. The waitress forgot to bring the malt vinegar for our friends fish platter. Then she ordered a mule beer and the waitress never did return with that either. Food used to be great. Hopefully this was just a bad day. We'll give them another chance.“
“By FAR the BEST chicken tenders I have ever had!!! I mean these things were not only made 100% from chicken, but we're tender, moist, and flavorful!! Paired with a good size amount of fries and it's a delicious meal!! Give them a try definitely!!“
“The service is always excellent! The ambience was good. I really enjoyed the grilled shrimp tonite. It was excellent! And serving size was great. Only negative was they listed fresh veggies as side and got canned unseasoned green beans. Have been here often and food is usually great.“
“I wrote a RAVING review about this place, and for some reason... it didn't post, and I can't find it to repost all I wrote. Lol.The general gist was that this bar is absolutely AMAZING!!!The staff, from the bar to the kitchen, were absolutely AMAZING!!!The beer and the WINGS WERE A SHOW STOPPER!!! I mean, honestly, I have never had wings more delicious than what they serve here. The BEST wings in Kansas/Kansas City Area!!!We got the Garlic Parmesan, Buffalo, and Barbecue; all Charred and Sauced. I loved how they did the menu to give you so many options to choose on how to make your wings to your liking.The environment can be a bit anxiety spiking if you are not used to that type of environment (literally just me, my boyfriend had the time of his life) but once we got settled, the anxiety started to fade and I felt protected, which I wasnt expecting.The staff (she seemed to do all the up front bar work, order taking and serving so I don't know the technical name for that but she's a BOSS in my eyes) came around, she was absolutely amazing, respectful and extremely patient while I took a minute to figure out what I wanted.Once we ordered, she brought his beer out, which was delicious! And the wings came out shortly after that.I had to temporarily stop our feasting for this ONE photo because I knew I had to come back and write a review about how amazing this place is.This is an absolute GEM of a bar situated next to a Walmart.A slice of history and heaven all rolled into one.I am so grateful to have experienced the beauty that is this bar and all the wonderful joys that came with visiting.Parking: It's located right next to a Walmart, so there is parking no matter which way you swing it.“
“Great place to watch the game! Not a huge space but nice atmosphere and *plenty* of TVs if you’re looking for that. We both liked the food. I really enjoyed the jalapeño cheddar grits. This place seems to put more effort into theirs than many places do. The chicken quesadilla is good as well. Nothing special about the chicken itself but the red onion marmalade has a nice flavor and I think the flavor of the salsa was my favorite part. Good drink specials/selection and friendly service, this may be our new go-to sports bar.“
