Not only was it delicious and full of flavor, it was also beautifully plated. I wish I would have taken a picture before enjoying it fully. I usually get the gyro meat and hummus but decided to change it up today and take the gyro meat to go this time. If I lived closer I'd eat here everyday.“

“Delicious Persian food in a cozy place with thoughtful and friendly service. It’s a small and casual place, though, not really well-suited for dining in, so I recommend ordering takeout if you’re looking for a nicer dining experience. Also, they aren’t doing the weekend buffet anymore (I visited in August 2026) which was disappointing, but the food made up for it. The tahdig wasn’t crispy, but the ghormeh sabzi was incredible and the kebabs are juicy, flavorful and tasty. Be sure to try the Persian ice cream!“

“I think I saw an ad for Yafa Cafe on Facebook. We are always searching for good Mediterranean food, it's hard to find in Kansas City. Seeing Kibbeh on the menu automatically moved them to the top on the list. We really enjoyed our meals and appetizers! The kibbeh was good, the spanakopia was good. All of our meals were good. I really enjoyed the creamy chicken plate. The chicken shawarma was good. Everyone liked the kabobs (chicken and beef). We will definitely be back! The owner and employees were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend!“

“Went today for my Husband's birthday and the whole staff was phenomenal! The moment we walked in we were greeted so kindly. We got the Hummus as a appetizer, which came out so fast, and not only was it delicious but the presentation was beautiful. You can definitely tell and taste the love and care that was prepared with the food. For our entrees, I got the Chicken Shawarma and my Husband got the Gyro Plate and the rice and meat was wonderfully seasoned. For dessert we tried the Pistachio Baklava and it was perfection. The entire experience from the moment we walked in was such a treat. We will definitely be back.“
