Absolutely awful business practices. We booked them weeks ago for my engagement party providing them the date and time of the event. They agreed to being able to provide us catering. We looked up their menu with pricing and let them know which items we needed. Fast forward to 3 days before the engagement party, we are finally provided a quote that is more than double what was advertised on their website. For 2 items (2 pans of chicken wings) (3 pans of jambalaya) we were quoted almost $1000! They’re located in Lenexa as is our event and yet we were being quoted an almost $200 delivery fee for less than 10 mins of driving! And to make matters worse, we were told they could only provide the food Friday evening when the party isn’t until SATURDAY evening. So we’re paying almost $200 to get our food delivered on the wrong day and expected to keep a $1000 order fresh for an entire day?! When asked about the price discrepancies, we were notified that they still needed to update their website prices. Why were we not notified of the price changes weeks ago when the items were initially chosen and agreed upon? Why was a quote not provided then? Communication with the owner has been spotty and difficult and he does not honor the prices he has listed on his website. If you have the patience to deal with spotty communication, having to find a way to keep your food edible a day before the event and 100% price increases with 3 days notification then so be it. But now we have to scramble to find food for our engagement party a couple days before the event because he stopped replying to our quote clarification questions. Cabbage and Sausage is Amazing. Far above anything I have ever had. It was so good and unique, that I am rating here. Jambalaya has a tomato-base which is not my favorite but complements the Red Beans and Rice as a side very well. I would recommend to everyone, you won’t be disappointed.
