Very good experience! Happy to choose this place to entertain my niece who came in from out of state!
Six of us ladies went for restaurant week. They were very accommodating on the reservation and seating. Unfortunately, the pasta was very bland and dry. The salad was underwhelming took a long time to get our mail.
A busy Friday night did not daunt the incredible service (Chloe) and wonderful food. A must-return visit looms ahead.
Excellent service on a busy holiday night. They accommodated our dietary restrictions even with a limited menu.
Excellent Service for occasions from Thanksgiving to NYE or in general . Good quality food.. Hospitable Owner(s)
Not the best meal, not the worst, but the service was questionable. Greeted by a rude host/manager (gentleman) who flatly told us it would be 45 minutes past our reservation time to eat and said “it's just busy” flippantly. (The old Seinfeld “you can take the reservation but you can't keep the reservation”). Not the best with younger diners with us. Didn't set the mood well but the rest of the staff was adequate enough to salvage. Wine list prices fair, food prices fair, but with the service issues, probably won't visit again.
We were enjoying a good meal with a good server when the manager came over three different times at the end of our meal to try to get us to move on. We had been there 2 hours but there was no one waiting for a table. He was very rude!
I always have a wonderful experience at Grand St.... Amazing food, great Service and atmosphere. Employees are extremely friendly.
Natalie was great and did not blink an eye when we asked to take a picture of us on our date. She even found the best picture backdrop.
Food was solid, but nothing exceptional. The plating/presentation felt uninspired. No wow factor. I would describe it as "an OK place to grab lunch"

Grand Street has been a great restaurant for us. But our experience this time was lacking. Lasagna was many, many layers of pasta with almost NO meat, sauce & cheese. Really dry and not much flavor. Portion size was large, but not very enjoyable. We definitely expected better.
We recently dined here as an opportunity to reconnect as a couple of over 25 years. When choosing a location, Grant Street pops at the top of the list and it did not disappoint. Fantastic environment, service is always second to none, personable, but not overly formal, and the food is fantastic. One of our favorite Kansas City restaurants.
Food took a long time to come out and the chicken wasn't warm on my salad and I asked for dressing on the side but the greens were saturated with balsamic and I ordered ranch on the side.
Had dinner here last night, and the mashed potatoes with my entrée tasted off — almost chemical. I even asked my guest to try them, and she agreed something wasn’t right. I politely mentioned it to our server, not asking for a replacement or discount, just wanting to let them know there might be an issue.
The manager came over and said they’d tasted the potatoes and found nothing wrong but would make a new batch anyway. The interaction came across as dismissive and awkward — I felt like I was being talked down to instead of appreciated for sharing feedback meant to help.
It made for an uncomfortable end to the meal. Our bill was still full price, which was fine, but the attitude wasn’t. I paid and won’t be back. Disappointing experience.
