We celebrated our 58th Anniversary here. Loved the appetizer and meal. We found the entrance and parking to be somewhat odd. The restaurant itself was very clean, staff really pleasant and helpful. We asked for and were seated at a window, but the views really were not ideal - so probably our own decision. The food was beautifully served and very good.

This has always been one of our favorite restaurants. However, we did not have a good experience on our last visit. We have always loved the bread service but it has now been modified and not nearly as good! Also, we continue to hope that they will change their chicken piccata recipe/entree. Improving that dish to be more traditional would be a well received change.

As usual, an excellent meal. Service was friendly and responsive. One of the things I like about this restaurant is the noise level is reasonable so you can have a conversation at your table. This restaurant is always one of our favorites.

Our group of four sat in the bar after we arrived at Grand Street Lenexa. The food was delicious as always, and our guests from Tucson, Arizona were very impressed with the ambiance of the restaurant. One problem we had was with our waitress. Apparently, there was a large party in Grand Street's banquet room that evening that we were not aware of. We should have been told that the large group was taking precedence over the rest of the diners that evening when we arrived. We initially ordered drinks and two appetizers. After a significant amount of time, I asked the waitress if we would be getting our appetizers. She got very defensive, snapped at us and told us there was a large party that the kitchen staff was busy attending to, and she couldn't deliver our food until the kitchen gave it to her. She then asked me if I was okay, and I replied that I was and asked her if she was okay. Shortly after, the waitress delivered our appetizers and took our dinner order. The dinner order was delivered, and sometime later she asked if we wanted anything else to drink and made sure that we knew if our drinks arrived late, it was not her fault since she could not serve our drinks to us until the bartender gave them to her. She was so short with us that one of our guests decided not to order a second drink for fear of getting the server angry with us again. I will definitely come back to Grand Street Lenexa, but I will refuse to be served by this waitress again.

Our server was great. Very nice and very attentive. Everything else a disappointment. Dirty glassware and very bland/dry food (we tried the chicken piccata and the trout) will keep us away from a return visit. Was hoping to find a nice place but was thoroughly disappointed.

The shrimp was not fully cooked on one of dishes and the short rib ravioli was incredibly salty and had to be returned but the filet was amazing. The management took care of our issues quickly. We enjoyed the appetizers and wine. We felt incredibly rushed to leave our table but the restaurant was only half full which made for a disappointing dining experience.
