This is a bar that closes at the same time as Barnes & Noble

Down right delicious BLT with a wide selection of specials, drinks, food, and seating. Even with a massive party that arrived soon before me, the staff was great and the kitchen was buuuusy. Keep it up!

I'm really sad to drop my 5 star review, but it's clear to see that the quality is falling off. We noticed that the burger section of the menu had changed and was now smash burgers. Awesome I thought, who doesn't love that? Well imagine by surprise when I get two McDonald's looking patties, veggies, and that it's. Cold bun too. Are you guys serious? What smash burger doesn't come with cheese and burger sauce? That's burgers 101! It was actually embarrassing. Also we felt rushed out by the servers. We were just talking with our friends and all of a sudden we got a check out of the blue. I was ready to ask for another beer, what's going on? Listen I have been coming here for almost 20 years, I remember when it was the Stonewall Pizza Inn. I was really happy with Grinders taking over but I hope they fix things because the direction I'm seeing now is corporate cost cutting disappoinment.

They had pumpkin painting for kids. That was a nice bonus.

I have lived her for about two years and drove by this place multiple times on my way to work. I was eager to bring my family here who was visiting from az to a new local spot for us to enjoy. I’m gonna be honest, everyone working was nice but the food was trash. My dad’s panini was cold and my sons and I pizzas were so cold and hard that it didn’t even have cheese on it. After 40mins of waiting I chose to get up and ask for our food because I watched it sit under the lamp for at least 15 mins. No one asked how things were, if we needed anything and the cheese sticks I asked to have served before our food never came . What a bust because I really really wanted to love another local restaurant. We won’t be back. :/

Ordered the large Marge smashed burger with cheese and crinkled fries (upgrade from chips).
First what was received was not a smash burger. It was two overcooked hamburger patties that used cheese to hide the almost burnt meat. Definitely not fresh meat that was smashed and properly cooked.
For a gormet hamburger I expected the bun to be buttered and toasted. It was not. Just a plain bun, nothing special.
Other members of my group ordered a pizza, calzone and salads. All were prepared well except the hamburger which appeared to be left on the grill while the pizza and calzone were baking.
Normally I would have returned the burger to be recooked but didn't trust the cook or that I would get an actual smash burger.
The french fries were packaged crinkle fries. Correctly cooked but not double fried gourmet french fries that you might expect.
Price was normal for a regular burger.
Service was fine. Atmosphere was ok but be careful about sitting under a vent. The ac has one setting - strong cold air.
Restroom was clean but used a common sink for both restrooms.

Nice place for a lunch on the patio or inside at the bar. Several good food choices. Will stick with the pizza options next time. Wife had the Calzone. I chose the burger, just ok. Variety of beers on tap. Great choices for cocktails.

If you loved the location in the crossroads district your going to love this just as much. Its a combo of both sides at this one location. Very nice little play ground and outdoor patio and just like the one downtown great atmosphere.

Having lived out of town for 7 years, I was looking forward to lunch on the patio. The backyard yard is a casual and fun place to visit with friends and drink from a respectable tap list. The service was great, quick, friendly and responsive, they really do a good job. The food unfortunately is where the chop chop falls off the tracks. Had a Large Marge burger and “upgraded” to Half Ass Fries from the chips for $3.00 more. I have to say, if Marge is Large I would truly hate to meet her skinny sister. This was one of the most pathetic burgers I’ve seen, the patties were less than a 1/4” thick and the size of a Silver Dollar Pancake, bland bun, I mean I’ve had sliders more opulent than this thing. I can also see why they call them Half Ass Fries, because they are, the basket came with literally about 12 crinkle cut French fries that obviously came direct from Cisco Foods. This was more of an insult than an upgrade. Whenever I go to a place that I’m unsure about the food I’ll get a burger because how can you screw that up, and if they pass that test I’m happy to come back and try something else, but I won’t be eating here again. Another little hiccup, ordered a Delerium Tremens before we left and when the bill came, they charged $18.00. My friend was buying lunch so I didn’t know until later, I’m not sure why he didn’t question it when he was there because obviously it had to be a mistake. I’ll return for a beer if someone wants to go there, but I won’t be eating and I certainly will examine my bill before I pay it.

Had a mid week lunch. It was not very busy. Cool place in a cottage looking house sitting on a good size lot without outdoor games and some interesting art decor. Inside is equally unique. You can tell the owner is a very unique person. I had the Grinders Famous South Philly, but went with chicken over steak. Sandwich is stuffed with mushrooms, peppers, onions, cheese, and jalapeños. It also came with choice of chips or tots. Philly was very solid. It’s not at the lever of a true Philly cheesecake from the NE, but still very good. Tots were just like any other tots. Waitress recommended to get Cajun seasoning on it. I couldn’t tell much difference. Overall, this is a cool funky spot with solid food and service. It looked like the bar scene was pretty good as well, although I didn’t partake in this visit.
