We were so hungry when we arrived at Holy Land Cafe. It was late afternoon noon on one of our BRISK winter days. We walked in the door and or welcomed with the aroma of wonderful food coming from the kitchen. We chose to sit in a booth not too far from the entrance. The staff attended to us almost immediately. My husband ordered the garlic chicken dinner and I ordered the falafel sandwich. We both had the lentil soup as the accompaniment to our meal. The soup was served quickly, it was hot and delicious. Just what we needed to warm ourselves up. The food was served very quickly, And it was also delicious. My husband's meal I believe cost $15, And it was a substantial portion of food. The chunks if chicken breast were covered in a garlic and cream sauce I believe with maybe saffron in it, Served with rice, veggies ,and Pita bread. My falafel sandwich was amazing as well. There are 3 things that I judge mediterranean restaurants on one is their hummus the other is their falafel and the third is their pita bread. I combined all 3 things in my sandwich, And I was not disappointed. We couldn't believe we had never been to this restaurant before and we certainly will make sure that we return again. As we were paying for our meal we decided to get the pistachio baklava. They have several varieties of baklava and the pistachio one was a hit. Looking forward to trying the other varieties on another visit.

Honestly the food was not that great. Falafel from a box tasted better. Also the baklava you buy from Pak halal next door is better. Years back holy land cafe was much better.

Baba ghanoush app and chicken shawarma plate were both out-of-this-world good and very reasonably priced. Will be back soon!

I just ate here and portion sizes aren’t generous lmao. Wasn’t even filling for me and I spent around $20 for a single person that’s me and was able to eat everything in a single go. Fake reviews lol. I got fooled looking at the ratings. Middle eastern or Indian or most restaurants are never filling when you order through menu unless it’s a buffet. But the food tasted healthy with lots of veggies.

Ordered the Vegetable Biryani. The carrots were raw. The server brought it a second time, and again, the carrots were raw. This dish is the only one I have tried.

This is one of my four favorite restaurants here in Kansas. The first reason is that it’s a quiet, clean place where you can truly relax while eating. The food is very tasty ;my favorite dish is number one on the menu beef and grilled chicken , and my husband likes to order lamb biryani . We also enjoy their yummy mango juice and always finish our meal with a sweet baklava.
